Yeah because they are both Star Wars but two different things

TLJ was a bleak horrible movie and nobody is ready to revisit that ongoing story

This TV show takes place after the fall of the Empire in good times, more positive vibes and looks like a bad ass show - which hopefully again isn't looking like it will be overly political and certainly not continue to write off out beloved classic characters

Plus people are paying for this. Less money for movies

Staying at home during the winter instead of trying to crash your car going to the theaters???

One is a space opera about a woman who is better than everyone where all our beloved classic characters get ruined

the other is an awesome looking show with Pedro Pascal who I love playing a badass bounty hunter

That's why I say they are different things which interests should not spill out into each other (beside die hard fans who accept all things regardless of quality)
