I actually would consider rewatching Solo if it didn't have that yappy third wave robot. That character alone means I can't sit through the movie a second time.

Looks like IG-88 is there to kick ass and take names in The Mandalorian. Let's hope he doesn't start going on about the droid wage gap for five minutes at a time.

I don't take that side of it that serious..

Yea the droid in Solo was for me too the worst one we have ever got hands down.. and I don't like they put it into the Falcon, I would have preferred they didn't.

Overall in retrospect I got a weird relation with this Rogue One and Solo movies.. indeed they are the weaker parts of this new age of films for me but they have some good moments and they are SW so yea I always find something to like in them even if I rank them at the bottom.

I wonder will IG-88 be heavy on the funny side or be different and dark that will surprise us given who is behind it.

I prefer Rogue One and Solo to TFA and TLJ, but they're still both so flawed that I won't revisit them. TFA I liked okay until I saw TLJ... Well, anyway, my feelings are known.

My guess on IG-88 is that he will be so badass that it's funny, and in a good way. I'm picturing something kind of like... Bolo Yeung from Double Impact.

I just don't want him to go full Korg someone be around him and give him input and make this one special. Also be deadly cause we only saw him going very kill heavy on some fools.

That’s not IG-88, it’s IG-11.

IG-11 was a masculine IG-series droidwho worked as a bounty hunter around 9 ABY. He was often mistaken for IG-88, a famous bounty hunter droid.

I just saw Dec. 27, 2019 the 8th episode will be available, so I guess that's when I'll do my month of Disney+.

Disney have revealed the air-dates for the first season of The Mandalorian only on Disney+ streaming service:
  • Episode 1 - November 12 (Season Premiere Tuesday)
  • Episode 2 - November 15 (Friday, so we get 2 episodes in the first week)
  • Episode 3 - November 22 (Friday)
  • Episode 4 - November 29 (Friday)
  • Episode 5 - December 6 (Friday)
  • Episode 6 - December 13 (Friday)
  • Episode 7 - December 18 (Wednesday because Ep 9 premieres in that week)
  • Episode 8 - December 27 (Season Finale)

It's not IG-88. It's IG-11 & other all new characters probably because they don't know Star Wars canon and don't want Star Wars nerds calling them out on it.
