Media "The man is almost 40 yrs old for crying out loud!" - Bisping on Nate's never ending tomfoolery

At 40 you can only pull this off in a suit, with a group of wise guys in a chinese restaurant bathroom

I love how people who weren't there and don't know the whole story keep giving their takes and are trying to assess the situation.

Then again, such is the life of a MMA talking head. At least Bisping isn't as bad as Sonnen.

All anyone knows for sure, is nate didn't film a selfie.
Everything else about it feels very "tmz".

These videos are nothing in the world of drunk men.
This basically appears as college bros/jocks egging on people for clout.

The (choked-out) guy knew it was Nate Diaz. Still engaged.
Walked toward him with hands up (and landed a punch apparently prior) while Nate is walking backwards.

The only reason (this makes sense) is to make money (off suing Nate),
or trying to actually embarrass/KO (nate) for clout.
Whether for his social circle or online, the biggest tell-all reveal... the dude is a clone of an influencer.

This is the part where (pre-internet) logical people are on the (hypothetical) side of ... the guy backing up.

Rule #1 ... don't go face to face, toe to toe, with a professional fighter... trying to back them up.
Even if you are a fighter yourself.

If Mike still had two eyes, he would be fighting people till he was 75,
and not in the cage.

The guy is delusional about his own past behaviors.

At one point, Mike was ALWAYS looking for a brawl (against anyone challenging, not bullying)
He did shit multiple times over the years, in multiple countries, that are worthy of worse reactions.
yes, to smugly sit on his soapbox and condemn this behaviour from Nate is RICH to say the least.
As someone else said also, many of these retired fighters are so insecure and constantly have to remind everyone they still have it. Ping may be top of that list. Look no further than his UFC commentary, constantly talking to the viewers about his past fights whilst there's live action going on in the cage in front of him.

And if they don't get the better of him physically, they will get the better of him legally. Either in a criminal court or a civil court.

It is just stupid to get into these street altercations. And it is constant thing with Nate. so many cases of him escalating with his "Stockton slap"

What is to be gained from slapping up or choking out some no name guy not worth his time? This is dumb shit

Honestly, this is such a simp perspective.

Nate shakes hands, stands there.
TWO FUCKIN' FIGHTERS keeping talking shit from behind an innocent guy.
They got "slapped". When you go to court, you have the case dismissed.
Repeat, they KEPT TALKING SHIT.

Been around enough of this to see what actually is happening.

Danis is ALWAYS writing cheques his ass cannot cash.

Case in point...

Diaz bros live in a time warp, didn’t get personal development past the ages of like 16-17
Yep he's close to 40 years old but still running around like a drunken 20 year old frat boy...Hopefully one day he will mature into an adult.

To be abundantly clear of social differences (for the younger readers to absorb)

Conor punched an OLD MAN who ignored him.

Nate, slaps professional fighters coming at him.

The reason the stockton slap is legendary,
is because everyone knows when someone has it coming.

The problem now, is influencers try to stockton slap Nate for clout.

As if bisping has an inch to talk. He was and still is one of the biggest shit talkers and overall hot heads in MMA. He says hypocritical shit like this all the time. Stopped being a fan after gomez left his podcast. Hes trying too hard to be like chael sonnen.

"There's no such things as bad press"

I freaking hate this line. What the fuck do you mean? Are you trying to say that you can kill someone and it's all good as long as your name is in the paper because somehow you magically get money out of thin air when people speak your name? Shit, I didn't know there were royalty fees by discussing someone's existence.

I think he means this will help sell Nate's boxing match Vs Jake Paul.

Like how Connor throwing the dolly at Khabib led to by far the biggest UFC PPV of all time.

Who knows what really happened, but Nate def needs to stop getting into scuffles and shit at just about every event he goes to. Whether he starts it or not, he should just avoid the situation. I got a feeling its not his style though because he doesn't want to seem like a "bitch".

Bisping just got clocked in the face that time and didn't retaliatce because he doesn't want to get in trouble. He's already been to jail and been sued and if he didn't feel he was in legit danger he's not going to risk getting arrested.

Yeah but people don't typically just get clocked in the face for no reason. It wasn't a robbery.

The point is Nate Diaz is constantly getting into these altercations that are totally unnecessary. Six incidents mentioned in this thread alone. It's an obvious indication of a problem.

Men in good positions in life do not need to get into stupid situations that can cost them money or put them in prison.

This is a guy approaching middle age. If Nate does not want to end up like BJ Penn, he better change his ways. That's not a "simp" perspective, that's a "not stupid" perspective.

Here's a former ref & former fighter's take on this...

Prisons are full of tough guys who "ain't no bitch."

Fighter or not, the goal in life is to avoid shitty outcomes. Nate is heading for one if he keeps this up.

His big hero 2Pac found out the hard way what happens when you get into some stupid altercation with the wrong person.

The prime suspect in 2Pac's murder was a Crip member who 2Pac had punched three hours before the shooting.

I don't even care about his age, it's the fact that hes a millionaire! Bro, ditch those Stockton bums and explore the world

I think it more refers to society's fixation with popularity. If you kill someone AND GET A LOT OF PRESS, then yes, you have a chance at a movie deal, book deal, perhaps business partnerships, and, depending on circumstances of the murder and how you handled your prison time, you can even start a lucrative YouTube channel about prison life.

So the saying implies that ANY press opens the door more to money. It is not a guarantee of money. But it's a guarantee of MORE CHANCE to make money than no press gives you. Kim Kardashian made a calculated move to leak a shitty sex tape (that I wouldn't even waste my time watching other than to remark "man, these guys film some real basic, uneventful sex, eh? If she got famous off that I should be a household name" - quick self-plug on my sexual prowess - mandatory - my gf insists I give myself props whenever she's not around to speak up for my glorious, life-changing cockwork, sorry), and she has a media empire now. So bad press still affords more opportunity to make money.

So, from the point of view of potential income - ANY press is better than NO press. I'm not sure there are any exceptions except the few ppl who make money DUE TO secrecy (undercover agents, rats/informants, hitmen, etc.)
