Phenomenal movie, outstanding performances from Dafoe and Pattison. Weird as fuck for sure, but one of best psych/horror movies of last 20 years imo. Done by Eggers, whose catalogue is littered with the bizarre.

His movies are visually fascinating. His sense of style is amazing, and fits his slow burn pacing to perfection.

This is a love it or had work. I hated it. I love weird shit but this was tedious to me. I will admit Willem was incredible. But too bizarre, too slow.
