She has a nice crackMichele’s best work is clearly behind her. Hope Dana doesn’t giver her the shaft, and hope she doesn’t take it too hard if that’s the direction this is going.

It's one of the most pathetic things they do. They dont value the fighters or their legacy and instead choose to feed them to the sharks because the UFC only cares about the UFC as a brand. These guys/gals give their lives for this sport and the UFC doesnt give a single Fuck about their well being or legacy after they're past thier competitive prime. It was a weird matchup to say the least.UFC and every org always trying to make a name off of someone, by absolutely brutalizing them into embarrassment, and it never works. i'm never a fan of the person who just supplied that beating. instead i actively hope that they get destroyed for the rest of their career for the crimes they have committed. feel bad for michelle waterson, if the UFC don't want her, then let her go. don't try to make a force name off of someone that no one is going to care about.
well said and i agree with every point. a master's division would be interesting, and at least they could have competition at their level. they try to build the next wave, but it never works like that. you don't enter the upper echelon beating a name that was competitive decades ago. it's just a professional hit job at that point, hoping that the clueless will go, "see he beat X, so that means he's better than X now, wow!" like they can't just do fun matches with legends against similar levels on the prelims or something? they have to sacrifice them for a shoddy highlight KO? terrible. It's one of the most pathetic things they do. I wish they had a legends branding matchups within the UFC. That way fighters can stay relevant and not have to face young killers. The closest thing to that for awhile was Bellator. The sport is evolving so fast that its not just about being shopworn but the sheer amount of tape available on their styles that naturally have stopped evolving.
Its a joke and these matchups are intentionally done to build the next wave. Sometimes fighter pride is a real issue but its not that hard to have honest conversations and tell them its get cut or fight more reasonable matchups while still making bank. The UFC would be wise to promote the greats of the sport and retain the legacy's of fighters to build a history that doesnt end up feeling tainted. Its not like these beatings dont have dramatic consequences, its not a game.
What is it you murican fella's call it? ''yellow fever?'' see i never had that, so looked at at Waterson differently, i've never rated her that highly, even when she was with Invicta.Still hot doe

She needs to be fighting fun fights against other girls who are aging out, not bloodthirsty contenders.
Yeah if she sticks around then maybe Karolina would be a good vets fight.
I think this is where being ranked hurts people, fighters need to be moved out of the rankings far sooner as they get older as the UFC can't really book them easier fights while they're ranked.
Remember when she did that challenge with that guy where he couldn't hit her back and it was like 'can you last one round with this badass woman?!?!' and he just cruised through it lmao
Edit here it is lmao
She was a 105 Atomweight, but had to move to 115 for the UFC. The only weight she really gained was mostly in her hips, not in a good judo way either.
Unfortunately she was never as good as Tony to begin with, and Rodriguez is top tier. She's pretty much the WMMA version of Tony Ferguson. Both are 1-6 in their last 7 fights. The only difference is Tony has lost 6 in a row while Michelle had an SD win amongst all her losses.
True, but both are in a career skid and far from their best prime versions. It's also hard to compare because Tony has been in a LW division that's been stacked pretty much his entire career. WMMA, on the other hand, has very inconsistent levels of competition, especially since Michelle fought in a bunch of orgs pre-UFC. But I think Tony could definitely have been the UFC LW champ some time between the reigns of BJ and Tony--which would be bigger accomplishment than anything Michelle did (like winning the Invicta Atomweight belt and defending it against a 46-year old opponent).Unfortunately she was never as good as Tony to begin with, and Rodriguez is top tier.
