avatar was nice until that... ending with the implicit lesbian relationship of Korra. One piece is shit and i still can't believe that thing is still publishing. hell i might enter into my 50's and that shit might be still going on just like JoJo.
Hokuto no Ken is the best manga and anime, period. when can you get such amazing stuff like this:

for more american style anime The Blue Excercist on netflix isnt to bad if you are trying to get into somthing thats actually from this decade

Personally, i like to separate Avatar in a non-anime category, which I would say it's the best North American cartoon I've seen. But I like your list, i've seen half of those but you forget my fave: Death Note.
