Assuming: Conner's left = Rhonda's armbar, the key is the following:

THE KEY: Don't play into their own strengths!
  1. Learn how to defend their signature attacks.
  2. Practice, practice, practice!
  3. Nullify their signature attacks during the fight and in such a way expose their one-dimensionality.
  4. Destroy them any way that you want.
  5. Done! You're welcome.

Move over Greg Jackson, cakemuncher is here.

Conor is much more than just one signature attack. I think Diaz should try his best to make this an ugly fight and get him against the cage where he can potentially get him down and fight in close. He can punch him when he's breaking up from the clinch from the cage. The key is to not let Conor get comfortable. He can play the range game but it's a lot more risky. Try to grind against Conor and constantly have Conor defending against grappling will tire him and drag him into deeper rounds.

It's a lot harder than it sounds but that's the only way I see Diaz winning this.

Holy shit Greg, calm down, we're not scientists over here, speak in a way we normal people can understand, shit.

Please be a troll, I cant imagine someone being so dumb.

Agreed. I also think that in order to have any success in this fight, they have to neutralize the offense. If possible, block or evade oncoming strikes and land. A lot of people overlook the fact that when you hit or get hit, you are dealing or incurring damage. This damage can accumulate and impede one's ability to fight at an optimal level.

I think a good plan would be to try to punch Conor, while you, yourself avoid being punched.

I've decided to start fighting professionally. The path is so fucking clear now

Who is Conner?

I can see now.

People will think this thread is a joke, but i do believe that Holly's strategy against ronda would work very well agains't Mc'G on the feet.

Conor's best weapons are all straight attacks (like the left straight, his teep kicks and on...).

If you rewatch Conor vs Mendes (wich was the fight that mcgregor took the most damage), on the feet, Chad only had succes when he was moving laterally, when he done that he could get Conor missing and trying to inneficiantly pressure foward, that's when he ate a lot of Chad Mendes punches.

Anytime Mendes would stop moving and became a static target, that's when he got trouble from Mcgregor.

It is the same principle that Gustafson took to throw off Jon Jones attacks, it is a lot harder to land oblique kicks, jabs and straights on a guy that is moving laterally rather than a guy moving foward or backwards.

I almost made a thread talking more about it, but i got too lazy.

If someone from Jackson/Winklejohn is reading this and you don't try and make contact with this person, you know you're depriving your fighters and MMA as a whole of the knowledge this man is capable of imparting on to us all.
