While Leavitt and Trump both claimed that the board had "unanimously" voted to rename the centre, at least one board member has disputed that.

30% + of the country still approved him right after Jan 6th. This sort of stuff isn't going to lead to him losing much support. His approval rating is incredibly stable relative to past presidents. His supporters don't really give a shit how embarrassing he acts. If anything they enjoy it because it offends people.
