The Judge That gave Neal The Fight Should Be DQed

Round one was literally even in sig strikes and the only real difference was Neals cage humping. Not sure how he lost round 1 on any card. Could easily give Garry 2 and 3 though. Should have been 29-28 unanimous.

Striking was pretty even in the 1st. I thought geoff may have edged it. Garry clear 2 and 3 for me. Clinch control doesn’t matter at all

The difference in first were the kicks, which were not all credited plus Machado slipped more. Perfect kick boxing.

Nobody broke an egg in the first round. Machado was moving like he had his wife's boyfriend's beer on his head and didn't want to spill it. Gary looks like he's been studying Jon Jones with all those push kicks to the knees and back circling around the cage. He gets slept by Leon. Also third round shows nobody wanted it bad enough - both guys looking past each other.

There should be a periodic review of fight scoring where panels of a dozen judges score fights and deliberate with each other the correct decision. Judges that get fights very wrong (more than 1 round off) should get a strike on their record. Too many strikes and you're suspended from scoring MMA fights.

First close, Neal was the aggressor
2nd close round img got bloodied was backing up the whole round didn't land anything of note...
3rd img landed more.
Was a close fight, but not in a good way. Neal had very good defense and Ian wouldn't engage long enough to do any damage

If garry just let his hands go more, it would've been a more dominating performance. He was afraid of getting close to neal cuz of his power. Ian has a sick straight right when he actually goes for it, so it's a shame he didnt try any really. His kicks are so good though, and those elbows and knees are unbelievable. Was definitely a 29-28 win. He won 2-1. No chance of any other result. What did Neal do? He had some nice jabs but tbh he was stalling against the fence most of the time, and you could see Ian trying to get him the f**k off him but he was sticking to him like he was spiderman

IMHO, Garry clearly deserved the win, but it was not the most inspiring performance...mostly effective point fighting while riding the bike, .but at least he was not simply countering and instead was setting, coming in, etc.

As Rogan pointed out, Neil was clinching so often after landing something instead of continuing to strike. It's not like he did great work in the clinch and the clinching would just erased his momentum.

It was a cautious, boring fight but Gary did clearly win at least two rounds. What was that female judge watching? Maybe aggression but Gary scored cleaner and more often shots and those leg kicks did land.

Yeah, that should be a "You don't judge for us anymore" lol. I had it 1-1 and Gary clearly won the 3rd.

They were close rounds. Garry won Round 3, but the first two certainly weren't decisive either way. Giving Neal both isn't egregious.
