Looking at the comments so far it seems that hardly anyone is buying the predictable 'victim' narrative now being pushed to try and turn the table. Everyone can see through it and is calling out this tactic for what it is.

That's because people are not stupid.

It amazes me how many here in the war room are obsessed with SJW, thinking they're some threat.

They'll constantly site some stupid opinion piece, written by some crazy woman, and mock teenage college girls with no real life experience that are complaining about who can enter a bathroom, but also seemingly quake in fear in that "This is the future liberals want" and crap like that.

If you're a sensible, rational, and reasonable adult, you can easily recognise the dumb narrative they push, and any legitimate concerns.
You have a few posters here too, that does nothing, but scour the net every day (or browse some website that does that) to find some anti SJW article, to continue to obsess about. And the comments, reading these articles, usually mock them.

Honestly, I just see it as a waste of time, and I really have trouble believing that this is some major issue that's affecting the real world... but then again... Dr. Peterson was called controversial, and he really didn't say anything controversial.. maybe I am just out of touch.

JP is great. And he's shown a solid amount of courage in defending what he believes and furthermore supports it in a way few others could.

So far he's navigated this brilliantly, and I hope he continues to do so because he's on the thinnest of ice, one wrong response, one moment of frustration and it could really undo a lot of what he's accomplished.

I think the most surprising thing out of all of this is how naive Peterson still is when it comes to his grasp of just how low people will stoop to avoid acknowledging problems in the ways they think/act. He talks about how skeptical and negative he is due to his long immersion in existential philosophy, but there's a pie-in-the-sky optimist living in there, too, and every once in a while, he pops his head up and gets smashed like a whac-a-mole

Well in Denmark they actually read his memo, talked about it in a debate show, and both the host, and the lady that spoke for the google guy (his name escapes me right now) both agreed that his memo didn't really contain anything controversial, and the feminist debating against it, was made out to look as a fool.

Ah well, I'll just ignore these threads from now on, because as I stated above, I can't relate to it. It just seems stupid to me, and I'm amazed it has come this far in Canada, and seemingly in the U.S.

We should stop trying to "engineer" society.

Women are also underrepresented in sanitation and garbage collection. These jobs are dominated by men, but I don't see feminists trying to achieve equality in these industries. It seems that they are fighting for Priviledge, NOT equality.

Men also make up more work-related deaths and choose more dangerous jobs, why don't we push for equality here too?

See, feminists just want Privilege (all of the good, none of the bad) not equality. This interviewer was so entitled and ignorant that even the mere notion that a white man could be offended didn't even cross her mind and she was stumped.

It isn't just trying to engineer society. It is engineering society based on Marxist doctrines which a lot of people still haven't figured out is the underlying ideology where all this 'SJW' stuff is coming from.

Depends on the audience. I think news articles that push that sort of narrative are trying to 'get out front' and establish narratives and perceptions before people have had a time to think for themselves.

Youtube audience would I think be predictably more cynical/skeptical when it comes to such claims.

my little brother is also suffering from alcoholism and recently diagnosed mental illness

I bought Dr. Peterson's self authoring suite while it was on sale 2 for 1 over the holidays.
I offered him the extra one because I know he's going through a lot and his program has actually had clinical results in bettering student's academic performance and increasing their overall sense of well-being in life.

Turns out my little brother has gone full-cuck SJW and responded with calling him a racist, sexist, bigot transphobe and wants nothing to do with him.

What a wacky fucking world we're living in.

He’ll lay out some thoroughly reasoned position and their retort is something like “oh Jordan Peterson, he’s just the stupid person’s smart person”. About the closest I’ve ever seen to an actual rebuttal is “yeah well, he maybe he read Freud/Nietzsche/Kant but he clearly didn’t understand them” and just leave it at that, satisfied that they undermined Peterson’s whole premise with no need for further elaboration. Sometimes I’m curious about the actual substance of WHY they disagree but you simply never get it.
