The John Wick Throw

I saw the movie. I liked how they displayed BJJ there. I also saw a pic where he was training on the mat.

There's a short clip (like 3 min) of his training.
Really cool one actually, from what the stunt and choreography guys were saying in it, he worked damn hard at it.
 
Cool clip and nice to see F12's Aesopian as uke.
 
Basic defence instinct for uke is to sprawl back, making it difficult to grab the leg and get the weight of uke on tori's back.
To avoid, Id suggest grabbing uke's lapel with right hand, bringing him perfectly on tori's back, then let go the lapel and grab the leg, as shown in the video.
That would help for tight execution
 
I get to those grips a lot, usually go for tomoe nage or maybe a Xande Ribeiro style kata guruma depending on the other guy's reaction. I am fucking learning this throw, no matter what it takes ha ha. I love it!
