Listened to the Shoreman one lastnight. Let's bring in a "Kickboxing expert" then search on wiki to learn that Badr tested positive in his last fight lol...

He should do one with Sylvie von Duuglas-Ittu

Just noticed you snuck Mark DellaGrotte in there LOL...

Didn't know who he was until I saw his name in this bunch of videos, but looking at your comments I guess there's a reason I don't know who he is.

Thanks for doing this. I've listened to most of them but there's a few I've missed

He's a MMA World Class Muay Thai Kru Expert

I watched all of these before but I had forgotten about most of them.

Seems like a decent bloke from listening to half hour of the podcast, but I guess from your sarcastic comments that like most Americans his achievements and capabilities are overblown.

What about the one with Khalil Rountree? Hes mainly MMA but discusses training in Thailand and Tiger MT.

Precisely. I got no beef with him, just the hype surrounding him.

Huh. I listened to one of the Joe Schilling episodes a couple of years ago but didn't realize that Rogan had actually had him on four or five different times. He makes for interesting shows. Maybe I'll listen to one or two other ones seeing as how he's got a fight coming up on the Oct. 4 Bellator card against the 7-2 Tony Johnson.

no disrespct to Dave but has he fought any decent fighters ? i like the idea of lethwei but heard the fighters were amatuer evel and when i was in thailand in 2005 seen some dvd of fights and they seemed to just be no skill really just toughness and bum rush each other
i see his record and he fought a few thais but were they decent or just old over weight and past their prime?

Skilled in MT and skilled in Lethwei are 2 very different things. For example Ive seen skilled Thais go to Myanmar and land multiple perfect head kicks on their opponents but in the end they still get smashed because in Lethwei its basically a requirement to have a good chin, cardio, and body conditioning. The most skilled guy in the MT sense that Dave has fought is Deisellek who was indeed past his prime and undersized. The thing is though you wont find many skilled Thais who aren't undersized at 75-80kg. In fact Rungravee and Thongchai are the only 2 guys I can think of that wouldn't be undersized there, although the top 70kg guys could make up for the difference with skill.

Considering he fights at "open weight" all you need is a heavyweight kickboxer or nak nuay to cross over and do the job. Unfortunately those divions are shallow but someone like Zabit Samedov could be a good candidate. Imagine if Mark Hunt was interested even :D

But even at lower than heavyweight I could imagine guys like Alex Pereira, Simon Marcus, Samy Sana etc doing the job.

In the podcast Dave says now that WLC has weight classes he doesn't fight over 80kg. At 80kg I think his biggest threats would be Yodwicha and Yusef.
