Losing was good for him since now he doesnt have to move on to fight a real legit boxer after Fury he can back to to journeymen old mma fighters.

Should have done this fight before the Fury one, would have been bigger. But I think it will still do well since they'll talk shit and its more entertainment bout than real sport.

I will say seeing Jake beat Nate will be funny as fuck.

Jake is most likely going to wash Nate. Nate was looking soft at 170 lbs. His cardio isn't there either. I can't imagine how he is going to look at 185.

Better for us as well, and UFC vets
I prefer these over pro boxing, with the exception of matchups like Tank vs Garcia
He cant become champion anyway

Can't beat boxers so back to mma fighters

Awesome.

so Jake is back fighting retired mma fighters instead of rookie amateurs?

at least Nate is making money but at 185?... mmmm.

Expected it sooner. Guess he’s not going after the fury rematch he had a clause for
Maybe after? I don't know the ins/outs of their contract so I don't know if this fight negates the rematch clause...

At the end of the day, (no Max Holloway pun here...) All these "ex-UFC" guys that fight out their contracts and don't re-sign want to get paid. I get it. Diaz fighting Paul will probably make Diaz a butt load off one fight. Good for him.

I am never one to take about fighter pay because I don't care who makes what, I simply enjoy watching fights I want to see.

That all said, I would rather see Nate fight guys in the UFC. I know a majority of users (or it appears in threads) are so happy to say they stream and don't pay for fights, I am not that guy. I pay for what I want to see when it comes to PPV. I won't pay for these fights...Conor/Floyd...Diaz/Fury....I want "real" fights against top guys in their respective divisions fighting each other in their same combat sport.

That is my 2 cents...

Are you guys interested in this even though Jake lost to fury?

I’m eh. Love the Diaz bros but this isn’t that interesting. Nate looked like shit in his last fight and is old. Good for him for getting his money though

Nope, it would have been kinda interesting before but not now, I won't watch. Diaz is shot and has CTE, and Paul is athletic but amateurish.

Good fight, they should make it a 12 round fight though. That gives Nate the best chance of winning

What, you think Jake is going to knock Nate out? NEVER
Everyone thinking Nate has great boxing look at his boxing sparring over the years. He has no lateral footwork , slow as a sleuth , close to nonexistent defense and a very limited striking arsenal. Nates stand up worked in MMA rules because of his other qualities. In pure boxing ,despite the hype " Diaz Bros wanted to go pro" he is not good at all.. maybe that's enough for Paul, I don't watch celebrity boxing, but he isn't even a mediocre pro boxer

I forsee Nate getting stung by a big shot, covering up on the ropes, Jake flurries, the ref jumps in and stops it, Nate protests the stoppage and we're all left feeling unsatisfied.

Quoted for fucking truth.... Diaz brothers playbook 101.

That being said..... Would love to see Nate still standing in the last three rounds..... Going to be a metric shit tonne of taunting and slapping.

Diaz will complain because they wont allow takedowns...

Nate is way too old, way too many miles, and way too slow. Not interested in watching him be a heavy bag for Jake Paul.

Should be fighting KSI or Salt Papi. We've seen enough matches with small past prime retired mma fighters. I actually thought he'd want to rematch Tommy but must want an easy pay day and more experience first.
