i tried to get cable a little while back...i still have 2 months to wait i guess...they arent set up in the area yet

There's an option under modem configurations to turn the dial-up sound off completely. That fuckin sound annoyed the shit outof me enough bak when I had 56k and until I found out yu can shut the bitch down.
