It's been in almost every documentary I've seen about Mount Rushmore. It's also shown at the visitor's center. Borglum planned an extensive hall of records carved into the mountain as well as a staircase but funding ran out so it was just started. I think there are also photos of the construction in there. The sculptures were planned to be carved to their waist.

The hall entrance is shown at 19:20 in this video.
