Don't forget about the real MMA Hour with Luke Thomas

Leslie Smith union drama as we speak

Look to hear from Al about why he’s not fighting Gaethje. I also want to hear from Gaethje on his fight with Vick, gonna be there live to see it, so I would like to hear his thoughts on the fight. Actually look forward to this fight more than the Ragin Al matchup.

I hate that we can't rewind or pause the broadcast on the twitter stream. Some (most/all) of us are working and can't just go straight through for four hours.

gotta listen Hendricks ramble on about retirement? He's already recanting it. (pretty much) He'll be fighting in Bellator at Welterweight very soon.

yeah, I hate the twitter streams too. can't rewind can't even pop out the video and make it a certain size. It's either fullscreen or small unless I'm just a goof

hendricks actually talking about some good stuff

That ESPN clout tho.
Helwani has always had pretty decent pulling power, but now he's on ESPN, he's going super saiyan.

They should put platinum and Al on at the same time
Would be fireworks lol

Well Hendricks can say he won a belt in the UFC and go on to ranching or whatever country ass shit he does in his spare time

Ragin Al for me, find out why he isn't fighting.
Still recovering from injury. Still receiving PRP (platelet rich plasma) injections for his knee I think, he'll be good to go sooner than later.

Only 6k people watching though, but I can't remember how many live views the MMA hour had. I know it depends on the show as well.

al is hilarious. hasnt taken out his garbage for 2 weeks lmao

I never watch it live. I get the podcast and just chip away at it throughout the week on my work commutes.

i have completely given up on watching ariels show live.

Im watching the MMA hour right now. Once its over, thats it for me. ill check it out ariel later when its uploaded, but this is bad.... super bad.

If your thing is so shit that people who were 100% guaranteed listeners are tapping out, you are doing something wrong

Not necessarily. MMAFighting was built around him and his show, he was their biggest fish. Over at ESPN he's just another journalist with another show. The new show is streamed on a god awful platform like Twitter instead of YouTube because ESPN doesn't want Ariel taking up their precious 'streaming slot' on their YouTube channel, and that's going to cost him because nobody wants to stream on Twitter. Sure, they eventually upload full interview clips to ESPN's YouTube channel, but they're buried in a sea of other interviews you'll have to scroll through unless if you bookmarked that playlist, whereas on MMAFighting his interviews are featured prominently above the fold all week.

No, Ariel didn't go to ESPN to get more exposure in MMA, his end game is to use the ESPN MMA gig as a springboard to get into covering real mainstream sports like Basketball. That's always been his true love. He loves the personalities and drama in MMA, but he was never a true fan of the sport, or the techniques and violence that come with it.

When Tito comes on at 4 for the big announcement we all already saw, I expect those numbers to at least double, if not triple and beyond.
