The greatest wins in MMA history

Lol this shit again. No, he was getting his ass kicked. Then they had a rematch, where he got his ass kicked even more decisively. Just stop.

???

That's one of the greatest fights of all time?

IDGAF if Silva was losing, the finish itself just wasn't that great. Silva vs. Sonnen I is about 100 leagues better, at minimum. So was Silva v. Belfort, Silva v. Hendo, Silva v. Forrest...

Literally the only thing great about that fight was that it was Silva who lost. In which case, Werdum v. Fedor is also 100 leagues better.

I guess Silva v. Weidman I would be a good greatest upset, though.

Greatest upset, sure. Dethroning a champ that reigned that long is always a big deal. The way it ended was shocking at the time too.

Lol no buddy wtf you talking about, he looked horrible after the Jones fight, he beat shot griffin, he got his ass whooped by Henderson, his chin and heart carried him thru that fight. You clearly never saw prime shogun and think two acl blown shogun was in his prime.

I suspect in the Jones fight you had a combination of the reduced mobility he's had since the 3rd ACL sugery but also the effect of coming back too fast from that sugery before he'd built his cardio back up. He did the same vs Coleman(18 month layoff but with 2 ACL surgeries) and here was coming back in 12 months rather than the typical 18 months and you could see he was badly gassed before the end of the 1st round.

Jones more dominant performance after that really was beating up on a gassed fighter who really wasnt in the match IMHO.

I have watched that fight multiple times and always scored every single round for Frankie.
I recently watched it with my brother and he honestly didn't believe me when I told him people thought BJ won that fight lol.

Same with Griffin vs Rampage.
Agreed. Rampage vs Griffin wasn't a robbery at all.

Right not saying Jones wouldn’t beat a prime shogun but to say that was prime shogun is disgusting.

Pretty crazy that nobody's said Cejudo beating Mighty Mouse.

Demetrious might've still been reigning today if that hadn't happened.

He didn't gas. He got the shit beat out of him.

There's a difference.

I feel like that one fight is were a lot of Jones "destoryer" rep comes from, I think Shogun being gassed allowed him to just beat the crap out of him but after that point Jones generally wasnt taking opponents out that easily, really only Sonnen he destoryed.

Big Nog deserves a mention on this list, I'll go with his submission win against Cro Cop.
The scene when Nogueira gets the Brazil flag, and kneels in prayer, draped in the flag and his two coaches kneel and pray to either side of him,was amazing.

I watched it live and couldnt believe it.

Jones vs DC 1,2
Werdum vs Cain, Werdum vs Fedor
Cejudo vs MM
Usman vs Colby 1,2
Weidman vs Anderson
Conor vs Aldo
Ngannou vs Stipe 2

Penn over Hughes 1, I couldn't believe it, McGregor over Aldo

Weidman vs Silva? What? Silva was showboating for a minute and got caught. That's a hard sell for me
It's as legit as any win, ever. No amount of excuses about how this fight played out will ever change that.

Who said it was illegitimate?

The only thing said here is that wtf, greatest victory of all time? Really? I think the only way you could argue that is if you just hate Anderson so much it gave you a hard on. Otherwise what made it something you'd call the a greatest victory of all time?

gsp’s revenge on hughes was gigantic as well. hughes was probably top 3 p4p and had just avenged his loss to penn. gsp beat the absolute dog shit outta hughes and KO’d him twice in this fight lol

Miocic beating Werdum, who was on fire and on his way to become GOAT (if he kept it up).
