I have a question about phone compatibility. There is a "BLU Advance 5.0 HD" phone on Amazon that I think is on pre-order. I would link it but sherdog does weird shit with amazon links. It lists bands GSM Quad Band 4G HSPA+ (850/1700/1900) and says specifically compatible with T-mobile, and indeed those frequencies are compatible with T-mobiles 4G/3G networks.

However, on amazon there is also a compatibility rating for each of the major carriers, and on t-mobile it says "talk and text only", and has check marks under talk and text and 2G, but not 3G or 4G LTE.

Will this phone be compatible with T-mobiles 3G/4G LTE networks?

Here is a link to a non-amazon site:
http://www.gsm-specs.com/blu-advance-5-0-hd/

Keep in mind, it is the newer version of the BLU Advance 5.0, (hence the "HD") which is compatible with t-mobiles 3G network and lists all those same band frequencies.

Can anyone recommend some good car mounts? I've used Arkon mounts in the past with good results but recently the suction cup no longer holds. I don't want to use any adhesive so affixing directly to the dash is not an option. I'm open to using magnetic air vent mounts though. The CD mounts not so much

I've been really wanting to go back to Android for my next phone but last time I was in Android it was very inconvenient without imessage. Getting pictures or videos of family took a lot more effort trying to get people into WhatsApp or having to go through email

Has Android found a workaround yet for MMS limitations? Imessage is basically the only thing holding me to iPhones still

No. Sadly android has no answer for iMessage

What MMS limitations? Group text? MMS with images? Android has had these features since the Galaxy Nexus which was like the nexus 3?

I can receive group txt messages with pictures/videos from iphone users just fine.

My G3 died in about 2 years. I've heard others with androids say they had similar life spans with their various devices. I know one device doesn't equal all of them, but I am tempted to go back to an iPhone.

My LG is fine (11 months), but the battery is starting to become weak. Idk if i should try to get a new one on the warranty or if they will be assholes about it.

Comparison chart for the phones I'm considering.

He wants receive videos and pictures over wifi instead of sms . In Korea we generally use Kakaotalk for that . Its pretty awesome . You can make international or even local calls using wifi instead of minutes on your phone plan . Its a given that most asians with any connection overseas has such an app . The benefit with imessage is that any one with iphone will have it . I dont think android has any thing like that that come stock on the phone .

Therein lies the difference between iphone & android users:

Iphone users want everything ready out of the box, where android users can have the option to choose between viber, whatsapp, kakao, line etc. depending on what's the app your friends/relatives are using.

I see pros & cons to both, but I see Iphone winning by convenience...that's if everyone he/she knows uses an iphone.
