Bryan "We Knew" Barberena.

Warlley Alves doesn't stand a chance right?

Ufc sends him to the wolves for tapping their golden child. Logic would say they should build him up and make him look more credible, but Dana and co, as usual, say fuck logic.

lol there's nothing to build there

The ufc is going to set him up with 3 matches he cant win, then cut him.

They should at least try. I guess they are going to cling to that BS strep throat excuse and play it off as a fluke.

Like your candy ass wouldn't use strep throat as an excuse to stay home from school.

Lol. Never had strep, but I served tables with a green stick fracture in my fibula. Didn't stay home or even tell my customers why I was being a little slower than usual. Just did my job to my best ability, ignored the clicking and popping in my leg, got paid and went home.

I know, I know. I'm a pussy who would never step foot in the octagon and if I ever get strep I would be bedridden for weeks, right? Right?

Yeah, pretty fucked up of the UFC to reward someone who stepped up on short notice with a fight a weigh class above against an absolute monster prospect.

After this one, Barbarena vs Lombard.

well if Bryan beats Alves than he will be a genuine star that wasn't fabricated by hype

isn't that your whole gripe with sage to begin with? lol

I am the only one here who believe give a monster to Barbarena is a gift? what do you expect?.. Sage fighting a top guy and Barberana the winner fighting an irrelevant fighter?

Also if Barbarena win he would fight a top welter next and build his career.

They aren't planning on him winning. Alves is a legit beast.

If they were trying to make him a genuine star they would give him at least some kind of push. I want to see all guys in legit match-ups, but the cherry picking for the guys they push leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

If Sage beat Barberena, do you honestly think they match him up with a monster like Alves? Lol fuck no.

Man, that's a sad story. I'd understand if you were making bank, but for a server's pay and tips?
I doubt your boss gave you any props for that.
I wouldn't have gotten out of bed for that... potentially risking further injury. No way!

I used to get strep throat about three times a year for about 15 years till I got my tonsils out. It sucks. No way I'd be competing with it.

I competed in a major judo tournament overseas once with the flu (headache, fever, sore throat, all that; not vomit and diarrhea type flu).

It was crazy, spacy. I didn't win, but it was a good experience. I wouldn't have competed if money and rankings and all that were on the line.

Still looking back, it was fun, and I did better than I would have thought. There was no question about competing, though.

lol give it a rest

at the end of the day, all fighters are thrown to the wolves in UFC that's the whole point

hell for all you know Bryan asked for the toughest available because he wants to prove himself worth of being ranked

I was broke and addicted. It was in Orange Beach during the summer so I was making about 120-250 a shift and blowing right through it. Withdrawal would hit me so hard at work, I barely thought of the leg. I will say the sound it made while food running up the stairs was quite unsettling and is why I eventually went to the E.R. two weeks later.

In case you were wondering. The E.R. told me if I keep walking on it I would cause permanent damage and they gave me an appointment with a specialist a week later. I stayed off it the whole week and saw the specialist, he looked at my x ray they took at the E.R. for like 30 seconds looking puzzled and asked how long ago it happened again because it was so far along healing. I told him I waited two weeks to get an x ray and walked on it the entire time, so he said to do whatever I did up until that point because I already had a walnut sized calcium deposit faintly formed around the break which shouldn't be there that prominent, that soon. He thought I was lying about how long it had been, but said if I was telling the truth then whatever I was doing was working. E.R. made me miss a week of work and had me worried for nothing.

Man, I hope you are alright now, with no permanent effects. I also hope you are in a better situation now and off the drugs.
You seem like a smart guy, so I'm thinking this is part of your success story.
