lol, seeing Lombard and Woodley on the same cabinet or council is going to be interesting.

GFL is doa, I have no hope because it’s run exactly how a Sherdogger would a mma org.

They need to be honest with their payouts and look for profitability, it also doesn’t help the so called fans will illegally stream their events, taking anyway that form of profit to pay for its fighters and future events.

Won't stream illegally, but will wait for the DVD to come out like PRIDE FC days.

Did Affliction ever come out on DVD?

GFL may not be dead, but surely the reputation is now.

I'd hate to see who's desperate enough to give them another shot.

Hopefully we get another staged draft. I'd like one every year
There is fighter which had kind of lucrative contract in Oktagon. He revoked it due to offer from GFL, then they passed on him during draft and nowdays he is in some pillow fighting promotion... :D

BTW Knutsson got fked over aswell. She was supposed to get 1-2 finishes and go back to UFC and then she signed with GFL....

Oof. Who's that?

They really did make a mess. The majority of the fighters they drafted weren't even signed to them. They drafted everyone they made an offer to even if they hadn't signed them. That wasn't going to work. They couldn't make fighters fight for them when they hadn't even signed them.

I also recall the teams being split across the globe. That was an overly ambitious plan. They didn't have the teams split across the globe and training together and they had already announced a card. That was them going against their own promotional point.

I like how they just re-use reheat anyone with a name. Never put on a card. People are like ok. Pay me.

Entertaining fighter with crisp boxing, but he was very vocal about how "low" is he getting paid and etc.. Threatened promoters to leave if they dont give him more money and start to treat him better, etc. (he reportedly had 5k/5k or 10k flat contract per fight ). It all escalated through media and GFL offered him contract which he signed and left OKTAGON as soon as his contract expired. Then he ended up not even getting drafted. After that he signed with Czech "Bellator like" promotion RFA (for less than what he had in OKTAGON,reportedly with promise that they will give him lot of fights, so he will make more money). In his debut Silva cheated on weigh-ins, but RFA staff is so "good and experienced" that they somehow missed that.

Fight somehow still went on even tho some people obviously pointed cheating out. Silva ended up winning in first round via Neck Crank...but never received another fight offer from RFA.

If GFL did not promise him fortune he would never leave OKTAGON in my opinion...

Buscape. He's been around for a while. Not gonna lie, that pillow fighting video from ESPN caught me off guard. I had no idea he had fallen off that much.
