Crime The Gabby Petito case.

She was alledgedly an influencer, maybe she had enough of a following for the story to reach critical mass. After critical mass is achieved, the story takes a life of its' own and people get hooked on the murder mystery aspect, with media spoonfeeding new updates.
 
Good looking young girl goes missing under suspicious circumstances and boyfriend not cooperating. The news covers what gets readers to click, I mean this thread is probably going to be pretty extensive when all said and done.

Yeah. Anyone who watches TV the past year and a half and then argues that a story gets more attention because the victim is white is probably a retard.

I do think part of the novelty is them being from ordinary households. People from run down communities going missing is back page news. And that will correlate with race. But this story is full of novelty regardless with how their trip was documented before she went missing. Including by police.

Her being good looking is a big part of it. I think a story like this involving a white boyfriend and a pretty non-white girlfriend both from middle or upper class communities would get the most attention atm.

I just hope it doesn’t turn out to be a publicity stunt.

I actually don't see anything that would warrant an arrest (unless there's some evidence I'm unaware of). You do need hard evidence to charge someone regardless of how socially charged something is. But yeah the boyfriend looks guilty as f. It's just not enough.

It's a lot easier to get away with something like this than most people think. Or, should I say, harder to convict someone.

Huh? The Laci Peterson murder was a story full of layers. Scott Peterson's affair, Laci's torso being found, the enormous amount of circumstantial evidence but none directly tying Scott to Laci's murder, etc. I don't know how that's even comparable to this case.

But yeah I mean, it's because she's white and pretty. Regardless of what narrative gets peddled by some, attractive white people are still considered fucking awesome by a lot of people = clicks.
 
I don't know how her dad didn't take things into his own hands when his parents had him holed up in their house after returning without the daughter, in her van.

I don't think I would have enough restraint to do that if my kid was missing under the same circumstances
