Conor says the bigger man can take more shots before he's put away. That's not accurate. Everyone's chin and brain are the same. You hit the chin, you rattle the brain. Conor didn't land on Nate's chin. Conor went for power over precision, against his own advice.

What is true is that bigger men gas faster. Conor became a bigger man and his big arms ate too much oxygen. Conor might have known this and that's why he went for the first round win because he knew he couldn't go 5 rounds, but then his mistake happened before he even got into the octagon:

Conor's first mistake was moving up in weight without stepping up his cardio. Conor's second mistake was throwing spinning kicks before the fight started, wasting energy, and at the start of the second round. If conor had enough energy to throw one of those at the end of the second round, sure go for it, but you don't go and waste energy like that at the start of a round when you ended the previous round tired. That's just dumb.

also bad striking defense regarding standup. He got hit on the chin meanwhile diaz got hit mainly on nose and forehead.

Nate isn't bigger, just taller.

They both cut no weight, and they both weighed the same.

Enough with this "added muscle mass" BS..
He wasn't even much bigger if at all from what he cut from to FW..

He punched himself out, trying to make his prediction of a KO happen then was in all kind of troubles when it failed on Nate's granite chin and he was losing speed in the second..
Then he got tagged cleanly ( 1-2 ) and it was the beggining of the end.
It was about fighting recklessly

Yes, until one person has brain damage like Chuck Liddell.
Not true.
Chuvalo, that took some crazy shots in boxing, has talked about how he trained to have a great chin.

where this is coming from?Conor and his trainer said he entered the cage at 168\170 fight day at FW in several occasions and he weighted 168 for this fight at LW without cutting any weight.
he was not heavier,he got outboxed.
that's why he gassed.

Conor said he needs to do some adjustments to win against the bigger guys., I think he has the talent to work at it for the future. Big difference moving up two weights, he was not fighting at featherweight, last night. In time we see if this works. He still plans to fight at 155 and 170 again.

People can take a shot very differently and people can get better at taking a shot.

I wonder what exactly they do over there at SBG Ireland. Conot always raves about his four hour sessions and how he could go all day, but he couldn't even go two rounds. Diaz said on one of the vlogs that Conor wouldn't last a day training with him lol.

Conor should take his talents to a better gym.

You know very little about "chins", not all were built the same. Diaz is very durable and no weight cut helps as well. Conor didn't gas he was getting lit up, taking shots you don't expect gas you right away. The spinning kicks didn't help but if anything he was over extending in the first to land those shots, he looked like he wanted to close it out early because he knew how durable Diaz was.

No, you're wrong. Larger guys do have a better chin. They have larger skulls which allow the impact to be absorbed more readily. Not only that but are you seriously trying to say that there are no differences in chin? Some guys will go down from a jab, some can take repeated bombs. Obviously your analysis is flawed to the core.

Don't think he punched himself out or lost speed until he got tagged with a right hand at the 2:54 remaining mark when he had started baiting Diaz with his hands down. Maybe he was tired and showboating to hide it, but that shot seemed to slow him down and change his whole demeanor even if the commentators missed it.

After that, Diaz was finding McGregor's chin again with some stiff jabs like in round 1, and then came the obvious two shots that wobbled him at the 2:23 mark. The rest was inevitable against a Diaz brother.

THIS!!! It was obvious he got dazed by the Diaz barrage. Don't understand why everyone is talking about gassing.

Me either, but I guess people have a different take on why Conor was baiting Diaz with his hands down at around the 3:04 remaining mark. To me it just looked like he was getting cocky with his success in the first two minutes of that round, compared to round 1 when Diaz was repeatedly finding his chin with the jab.

No. You're absolutely wrong and dumb. A bigger human has thicker neck and trap muscles, most likely a bigger head / jaw, and are generally better build to absorb an impact. That's just not even debatable.
