for having a TV budget, I didn't see a whole lot out of the pilot that i could complain about fx wise.

I really hope Weather Wizard comes back and has a more superhero costume. Not on the level of camp and absurdity like in the comics but more villain like. Such as the New 52 look for Captain Cold rather than the Parka version. New 52 suit was less campy but still retained that comic book look. Btw I really liked the characterization the pilot laid out so far. Hope to see more out of Detective West as well as Cisco, Snow, and that wheelchair guy. Definitely excited

just finished arrow. pretty excited for the crossover episodes coming for the flash

Kelly Frye to Play Plastique in The CW's THE FLASH TV Series

Kelly-Frye-Plastique-The-Flash-Dragonlord.jpg

It was just days ago that we learned that DC supervillainess Plastique would be heading to The CW's upcoming The Flash. Now, E! Online has learned that the character of Bette Sans Souci will be portrayed by actress Kelly Frye. Having first appeared in Fury of Firestorm #7, Plastique was primarily a villain against Captain Atom and sometimes Firestorm (who could potentially appear in the series as Robbie Amell has already been cast as half of the nuclear man). The character also has had ties to both the Justice League as well as the Suicide Squad and made a previous live-action appearance in the eighth season of Smallville. There, she was played by Jessica Parker Kennedy.

E! describes the TV version of Bette Sans Souci as a bomb disposal expert in Iraq who, following exposure to the energy released by the S.T.A.R. Labs meltdown...now has the ability to turn any object she touches into an explosive device. On the run from the shadow forces in the U.S. government trying to turn her into a human weapon, she finds an ally in fellow metahuman The Flash.

In the comics, Plastique was also a member of the Suicide Squad, a team that appeared fairly regularly throughout the second half of Arrow's second season and which is being groomed for a potential spinoff series, according to actor David Ramsey, who also revealed that the Squad will see more action in Season Three as Lyla Michaels, Diggle's ex-wife and current love interest, will be in charge of A.R.G.U.S., the organization that oversees it. The Flash premieres October 7 on The CW. Look for Frye to make her debut in the fifth episode of The Flash.

Gotham and Constantine are separate from each other and separate from the Flash/Arrow universe.

Gotham is from Fox
Constantine is from NBC
Flash and Arrow are from The CW

oh ok thanx.

I'm gonna binge-watch arrow one of these days. hopefully before the flash premiere.

i enjoyed the Flash pilot.. Except for that bit with Green Arrow.

I really can't stand Arrow, on his own show, or Smallville. He's basically just a poor man's Batman. Now they're introducing Batman's rouges into Arrow? Doesn't he have his own villains?

Clancy Brown Cast as General Wade Eiling in THE FLASH

Clancy-Brown-The-Flash-Dragonlord.jpg

The Flash is going deep into the DC mythology. The CW's Arrow spinoff has tapped Sleepy Hollow actor Clancy Brown in a pivotal recurring role, THR has learned. He will first appear in the fifth episode. Brown will play General Wade Eiling, also known as The General, the head of a black ops army team pursuing Plastique (Kelly Frye) in the hopes of using her as a human weapon. Described as a tall and imposing man, with "a face carved from years of duty," Eiling is fanatically intent on protecting American interests around the world and may have ties to a central Flash character.

To those familiar with DC, the character of Wade Eiling has been featured in the comics and in several animated series, including Justice League Unlimited (voiced by J.K. Simmons), as a sometimes ally/sometimes nemesis of the Justice League and Amanda Waller. He also has ties to the Suicide Squad.

Brown will next appear in 2016's Warcraft and was the voice of Lex Luthor in several animated properties. Fun fact: Brown voiced the villain, Parallax, for The Flash executive producer Greg Berlanti's 2011 film The Green Lantern.

Because Green Arrow doesn't really have a deep rogues gallery.

Robert Knepper's The Clock King to Appear in THE FLASH

Clock-King-The-Flash-Dragonlord.jpg

The time has come for a major Flash-Arrow crossover — and this one’s going to be a royal pain for Barry Allen. Robert Knepper will reprise the role of William Tockman (aka The Clock King) in Episode 7 of The Flash, TVLine has learned exclusively. The Clock King is the first villain to show up in both Starling and Central City, having faced off against Oliver and company in Arrow‘s Season 2 episode “Time of Death.”

But wait, it gets worse; The Clock King won’t be working alone! “We wanted to give Barry a real challenge… TWO bad guys!” says executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, adding that Barry will be “fighting both a new enemy and one of our scariest and most successful Arrow villains in The Clock King.” No word yet on who that other villain might be, but if he (or she) is in league with The Clock King, Barry’s got his work cut out for him.

Another villain will be added to the show. In episode six, the recurring character of Tony Woodward aka Girder will be introduced, according to TV Line. Here is a description of the character: “Woodward was a bratty steelworker who upon being dunked in a vat of molten metal that had been tainted by S.T.A.R. Labs waste emerged as a mass of iron, impervious to most anything.”
