i think her power presents issues for barry, who isn't gonna ko or kill someone; at least not right off..meaning that someone w/that powerset is gonna cause him problems... In the comic book; if anyone touches her she teleports a short distance by default, so flash had issues because the min he touched her she would teleport.

i think they alluded to that in the show, cause there were instances where she couldn't react to what he did; but her power kicked in automatically,

i think her powers will be like barry's start off at one level, then begin to grow and develop; i think the same thing will happen w/all the villains he has faced.

piper intentionally got caught first fight. not getting your point, he worked flash over when he wanted to because he outsmarted him

agree there are alot of diff things he could have done, i.e. make a sonic force shield or generate a field of sonic attacks that would limit the flash from getting so close to him or used sonics to destroy glass from buildings forcing flash to have to protect civilians or use sonics to create vibrations on the ground to endanger civilians and limit the flash ability to move at super speed.

Lots of diff things he could have done..but as stated he wanted to be caught; the flash biggest weakness is he doesn't want to hurt or kill guys, so he gives guys opportunities to hurt him. Esp since people know he exist and now are preparing to deal w/him ahead of time..not just facing him head on.

sidenote-at some point having all those meta humans locked up in one spot is gonna backfire on them...same way having capt boomerang/deathstroke locked up together will backfire on the arrow.

I think it's pretty obvious that will happen and it will make for a great episode on both shows.

I think it's funny how both the Arrow and Flash have their own secret prisons but there are no real guards at either of them.

Where is this Supergirl they speak of I saw none. :icon_chee

PIS=Plot Induced Stupidity
WIS=Writer Induced stupidity

(for anyone else like me that didnt know what either term meant)

I agree this Makeshift prison seems inhumane...don't like Wells being judge, jury, and warden

The Flash's father got stabbed in prison. He is lucky to be alive.

It seems like it is just a matter of time before the gang starts questioning the morality of Wells locking everyone up like that. We have to remember how new all of this shit is for all of the characters besides Wells. Especially knowing what we do about Wells, and what they will find out at the end of the season, I would not be surprised if we see the construction of some real meta human prison where Arrow and Flash villains get stashed.

I really hope Grodd isn't a letdown when he gets some proper screen time.

A hyper intelligent, telepathic, super gorilla.

Can't read the thread, but I just finished episode 9 of Arrow Season 2 (''Three Ghosts''). Am I supposed to start watching Flash now or later? Someone PM me.

It doesn't really matter. I watched the first 2 seasons of Arrow after watching Flash.

I think it's pretty obvious that will happen and it will make for a great episode on both shows.

Even if they could get out of their individual rooms, then I'm pretty sure they'd still be stuck not being able to get through the door. I guess the teleporter could teleport through (isn't there a small window on the door?). Or maybe that door isn't that sturdy? They should have some sort of backup in place just in case the villains escape. At least an alarm that notifies Barry and/or Wells, so that they can use their super speed to disable them.

Sorry, I wrongly assumed that anyone watching shows like this would already know the comic nerd terms.

And yeah, this meta human prison is fucked up. If they're dangerous, that's one thing, but people like Baez? Come the fuck on... She gets no trial with no actual sentence. Is she really just going to be stuck in there indefinitely?

Did they show him yet?

He was in ending stinger for this week's episode. Here's a screen cap I found:

Awwwww yeah.

Have they discussed him at all on the show? Or is this the first hint of his existence?

He was teased in an easter-egg in the pilot (a broken cage with the name "Grodd" on it was shown momentarily), and it was later revealed in the episode with General Eiling that Grodd started out as part of some kind of military experiment of the "questionable ethics" variety. Other than that we don't know much else at this point.

Cool, thanks. I'll start tuning in now.

I'm also uncomfortable with the prison situation at Star Labs. Aside from the morality of it all, a lot of nagging questions keep popping in my head like how do they feed them without them escaping, where do the prisoners wash and poop, and many more.

I love the scene where Barry's father revealed in his own way that he knows his secret and he is proud of him.
