Speaking of Dr Wells, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the names of the dead he recited.

I was able to catch Elongated man, Fire and Elongated Man in there. I'm sure I'm missing at least another.

^ I searched and found this list of easter eggs last night, including the names listed off by Wells:
Ralph Dibny - Elongated Man
Al Rothstein - Atom Smasher
Grant Emerson - Damage
Bea DeCosta - Fire
Will Everett - Amazing Man

Rest of the episode was great. Seems he's got ramped up powers now based on the blood sample. Need to see how fast he can go now. Basically he out ran lightning last night. I imagine that was slightly faster than the previous record of his speed of Mach 1.1

It kind of looked to me like Wells dodged the lightning, but pretended to get hit by it.

Does Detective West know that Dr. Wells & crew are locking up metahumans?

Anyway, I guess no due process for metahumans.

S.T.A.R. Labs is judge, jury and locker upper.

Isnt that always the theme with superpowered guys facing non powered guys...the powered guy always gets sloppy because of the physical advantages they have; as a result giving their opp chances to have success against them.

Its not just consistent with characters its consistent with real life...how many times have u seen a far superior fighter be defeated or pushed by a lesser opponent because that guy was prepared and the other wasn't..or a Guy showboating in a combat sport and getting beat or showboating in a football or basketball game and get beat. Deion Sanders got run down by a punter when he slowed up a little to show boat...mugsy vogues blocked Patrick Ewing...top college teams have been upset all based on will prep effort.

There's plenty of differences to make it a false analogy. It usually delves into lazy writing. Seeing as how many times Barry has had his ass handed to him, you'd think he would have learned by now not to be so cocky and arrogant, but I guess he's a slow learner. It just seems like his character does a 180 when he puts the Flash costume on.

Barry doesn't even know how to fight

You don't need to be Jon Jones or GSP when you have his powers.

Not to mention aguy who is vulnerable to everything regular people are...even with his power level he is very vulnerable..

People are statues to him except when he's facing the villain of the week, then his reaction time is conveniently slowed to a crawl. But then again, you do need suspension of disbelief when it comes to comic book stuff. I guess I have to accept all of the convenient writing on the show (like how most of the villains got their powers at the same time, but they're taking turns causing havoc in Central City). I hope every episode won't be the same formulaic - villain of the week shows up, wreaks havoc, Barry tries and fails to stop him a couple times until the end where he finally figures out how to overcome him. It almost feels like the same episode over and over again.

You're missing Elongated Man and Elongated Man.

Honestly if anyone is gonna be cocky its a)gonna be a guy like Superman who is literally invulnerable and b)a guy like the flash who is so fast almost noone or nothing can touch him.

In most universes the powered heroes are the funny and humorous and moral ones; all because they have that option due to them not being threatened by 95% of the things in the world.

I mean there is no reason for the flash to have rogues he could kill...or disable almost all of them in a sec...he chooses not to and allows them opportunities to harm him and others because a) he isnt vicious and b)he isnt a fighter or a killer.

The different btwn flash and others is that flash can be hurt by everything we can be hurt by..he is just too fast to get hit.. all I am saying is that it is in line with his character. He doesn't go all out...he always uses enough to beat them or embarrassed them. But not enough to dominate them or kill them.

Not to mention in comic books all non powered heroes are overpowered...the comic book version of peak human is way above our version. Its like three to five Olympic athletes put together...

But I get your points...I am just saying the character in the show is in line with the character in the comic books..and all the comic characters who fight at less than one hundred percent so as to not harm anyone..Superman..Spiderman..flash...Thor..human torch...hulk...etc...

When zoom/Prof zoom shows up u will see the different btwn the flash and what a guy with his powers does w/out holding back..

Extended Trailer for THE FLASH VS. ARROW Crossover Episode

Flash-Arrow-120114-Dragonlord.jpg

The CW has released the extended trailer for the epic team-up between Arrow and The Flash with plenty of new action-packed footage. The extended trailer also reveals our first look at Captain Cold and Heat Wave appearing together in that episode. Part one of the crossover, The Flash episode "Flash vs. Arrow," will debut on The CW tomorrow night at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The second part, Arrow's "The Brave and the Bold," will air Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Synopsis: Barry (Grant Gustin) is thrilled when Oliver (guest star Stephen Amell), Felicity (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) and Diggle (guest star David Ramsey) come to Central City to investigate a case involving a deadly boomerang. Excited about teaming up with his friend, Barry asks Oliver if he

So, was the crossover episode great?

Haven't seen it myself.

I enjoyed it. It had a bunch of interesting scenes and developments. The plot with the villain of the week, however, wasn't anything special (it followed too closely to what is quickly becoming a stale formula).

I thought it was pretty awesome..they are definitely pushing a Batman/Superman..captain America/iron man dynamic between arrow/flash.

I felt they really did a good job playing up the different between a non powered trained hero and a powered untrained guy. Not just in how they fight...but how they approach fights...; I pretty much now know how certain aspects of Batman v Superman is gonna go.

I think its pretty awesome that they are playing up the skill..knowledge...and expertise of the arrow...I know he was supposed to be something of a Batman type hero; but rarely does that get shown in his various interpretations. Its kind of cool to see those aspects of the character played up and not just the bow and arrow theme.

Lol Iris and Felicity both want at least 3 Ds

yes! better than the avengers and gotg combined! easily!

it was pretty good, some comic relief here and there which is good cause not everything has to be dark and gloomy, plus Felicity which is a win in itself

Like who outside of Bruce Wayne? He's one of the most well known and most popular as Batman, so he kind of has to be, but he still has countless hours of training and all kinds of gadgets at his disposal. He's one of their flagships, so I understand some of the liberties they take with him.

But I get your points...I am just saying the character in the show is in line with the character in the comic books..and all the comic characters who fight at less than one hundred percent so as to not harm anyone..Superman..Spiderman..flash...Thor..human torch...hulk...etc...

My problem is the inconsistency, but I can suspend my disbelief a bit. I can also understand the cockiness as he does have super speed and an accelerated healing factor, but he comes off as dumb when he keeps failing over and over again without ever learning from it. I guess I'll have to wait until the episode where someone gets seriously wounded/killed for him to finally learn.

I have to say 2 really good episodes in a row. The best part, even better than the Felicity stuff, is that it looks like we no longer have to put up with the stupid Flash/Iris scenes anymore. It's also nice that there's now going to more than just the villain of the week for Flash to contend with. Now, he's got Eddie Thawne on his ass.

And also (I'll put this in spoilers):
the Reverse Flash is supposed to make his debut (being more than just a blur) next episode.

Good episode shirtless Felicity nice! now he has to deal with Thawne
also loved how he told off the captain, I take it that was Firestorm at
the end, now I can't wait to see Capt. Boomerang and Grood show up
as well as Capt. Cold and Heatwave.

Yes i really like how they are approaching the characters in these shows. What Green Arrow is imparting onto Barry is very important, as Barry is more level headed and pragmatic then the other flash incarnates. Right now he is acting or is more along the lines to what Wally would behave like, but Wally is more comical in personality. With this experience it will shape him into what he is to become in the future.

People were excited about Felicity's shirt coming off?

I'm genuinely surprised, as it's her butt that's notable.

Also, that was the least cheesiest episode of The Flash yet, which I attribute to Felicity and Diggle. Even Ollie gets a little cheesy sometimes.

Diggle was the funniest part of last nights episode, imo.

Even better than Latino Fitz's Star Wars impression.
