After Conor lost it seemed all of his nut huggers had disappeared. Now they seem to be crawling out from their hiding spots and spewing excuses.
I'm going to clear up a few things for them and hopefully they will begin to understand and accept the loss in a humble way like their leader did last night.
The most annoying of all excuses is the idea they have that Conor moved up 2 weight classes. Yes they fought at 170 pounds, but there is a big difference between fighting a LW at 170 pounds and fighting a WW. Nate Diaz is not a ranked WW. Conor is naturally a LW just like Nate, and they both walk around at the same weight. Conor lost to the #5 ranked LW who had 10 days notice, not a WW. All these complaints about Nate being bigger and longer are ridiculous. Everybody else who has fought Nate has had to deal with the same thing. Conor just wasn't able to handle it.
As far as Conor gassing..... He had a full training camp and didn't have to cut weight for this fight. If he gassed it's his problem and probably had something to do with getting punched in the face.
I'm also seeing a lot of people saying he dominated the fight until the end of the second. That's just ridiculous. He won the first round, but never put Nate in any trouble once in that fight. As soon as Nate was warmed up and found his timing he began battering Conor.
I'm starting to realize that I never hated Conor. I may have been rooting for RDA and Nate but not because I hate Conor. Yes he can be over the top at times and be arrogant, but I realized something else. It's his fans that make me dislike him or root against him most of the time.
He was humble in defeat last night, you guys should relax and accept it like him. He's a great fighter, he's entertaining, but clearly has holes in his game and was beaten by the better fighter. The end.
