The elites are starting to piss me off

Blame the half of the country who believed the liberal media that Trump was so bad and put Biden in office. They get what they asked for.

Do you mean more drilling? Because Biden approved more public lands for drilling in his first year that Trump did in any of his first 3 or on average throught his presidency. He's opened up WAY more than trump's first year.

Or did you mean an increase in oil production over the end of the Trump Era? Because US oil producition is up 16% Feb '21 - Feb '22.

I didn't vote for Biden, but I think you can be grateful that Biden doesn't have Trump's hostility toward big oil and his comparatively energy unfriendly policies.

Oh, you just need to vote republican. You can see a nice chart where our local oil production jumps up when Trump takes office and drops when he leaves office.

We have more oil than ANYONE.... no you read that right. It is shale or whatever and is harder to extract but we have the technology to extract it now. We are like Canada with oil but we have more.... of course the dems are holding us back.... ugh. Fuckers.
"but omg fracking" <-- yeah bullshit to cry over.

https://money.cnn.com/2016/07/05/investing/us-untapped-oil/index.html

Move over, Saudi Arabia and Russia. America now has more untapped oil than any other country on the planet.
That's according to a new report from Rystad Energy that estimates the U.S. is sitting on an incredible 264 billion barrels of oil reserves. It includes oil in existing fields, new projects, recent discoveries as well as projections in undiscovered fields.

More than half of America's untapped oil is unconventional shale oil, according to Rystad. Shale oil is the previously-unreachable crude that, thanks to fracking and new technology, has reshaped the global energy landscape and vaulted the U.S. into the upper echelon of global oil producers.

They are trying to force everyone to go green. That oil isn't going anywhere. They want to make everyone poor and dependent on the government. No middle class.

Remember this during the mid terms...generally curious on how many folks out there feel bamboozled by the current admin, and feel regret for how they voted.

This is a really bad post.

Once the republicans are voted in again they’re gonna give a tax break to these people you’re complaining about and raise taxes on everyone else.

That’ll teach ‘em

Comparing Biden's first year to Trump's first year is absurd as Biden's first year came after Trump's last year, not Obama's last year

Ummmm...is twitter ur sole source of info? ICYMI the Right is set on making this great country energy independent once again, seriously what do you think re-opening pipelines and flooding our starved market with crude will do...rise prices? Also pretty sure the Right cut taxes across the board last time they were in charge. Esp those making under $400K. Now I am not saying Republican's are the best thing out there but ffs look at the alternative, and how has that been working out. Given our 2 party system, I would favor financial conservatives, over tax and spend Dems...perfect world I would like to see a Centrist Party of some sort.

You mean Biden had the advantage of taking over after Oil production tanked in the Trump Era so it's eaier to make huge gains from that low point? Where as Trump inherited a market where oil production was increasing so huge gains weren't as easy?

Because in fairness to Trump he did make some gains for a while. He just fumbled at the 80 yard line.

Yes, that’s why gas is more than double from 14 months ago, lol

You think the price of gas has to do with who's the president? Or oil production levels?

It has to do with market speculation, global inflation, price gouging, president is probably number 12,000 on that list.

But to the extent that you believe the president is a factor, there is absolutely no disputing that domestic oil production and federal land leases are up under Joe Biden. Those are just facts.

From the entire pool of celebrities it's been a small fraction that have made that kind of bad take. Realistically I think it's a messenger problem - the message is fine, but not when it comes from someone unaffected by the sacrifice. I think most people who aren't celebrities would agree that sacrifice in gas price is ok if it directly means saving lives of innocent people - not all, but a majority.

Edit: I'm not saying that the correlation isn't flawed, just that, if it were, common people would in majority be ok with the sacrifice

Whenever things look bad people just blame it all on whoever is currently in power. As if these issues aren't years in the making.

You don’t? Did you not when Bush was President, lol?

I literally JUST heard with my own ears Trump talking about this. Hannity playing a Trump speech during the 2020 campaign talking about gas at $2 a gallon going up under Biden to $6, $7, $8 and then telling you to buy new cars. 100% accuracy, indisputably foreseen 18 months ago by the guy y’all hated. Idiots

The masses seem to look through the bs of the leaders more and more

no, the Trump tax cuts were an utter failure and taxes went up on everyone but the richest Americans. There were time limits on these so called cuts.
