THE ELDER SCROLLS VI ***Confirmed Xbox exclusive, won't arrive until 2026***

Seriously they couldn't even CGI a dragon at the end or something?

Totally lame and I'm not even a rabid Elder Scrolls fan like some people.

I am a rabid Elder Scrolls fan and I agree, its lame what they have done here because it almost feels like a consolation prize after announcing Fallout 76 which I can guarantee you a lot of people don't want. Yes, Todd Howard, what us Fallout fans wanted was an online version that will be filled with player griefing. Its not even like they are working on ES6 because I can guarantee you they aren't. They have all their resources tied up right now.

Shouldn't have even bothered, if all they had was a five second teaser. All it really did was take the wind out of the sails of the mega promotion behind "Fallout 76". 'Twas a bit counterproductive.

That said, I don't think it's going to effect either game's sales. It's just a bit perplexing from a promotional standpoint.

I could be wrong but I'm going to say it anyway. There are two main types of gamers. The old school gamers that pretty much prefer the open world single player experience and the new younger audience that cares only about throwing grenades at people in a mutiplayer format. Some franchises have the old player base, and some have the new player base that is all about multi-player. Fallout is one of these games that has a huge number of old school gamers, same with franchises like Elder Scrolls and Doom.

The last gdamn thing in the world I wanted from a flagship title like Fallout is Fallout 76. It is incredibly disappointing as a fan.

Yeah, I'm definitely not into the whole MP thing. "Fallout 76" seems like a pseudo MMO.

Gotta love how Howard claims you can play it solo. By that, he means you can run around doing the entry level fetch quests by yourself. You know, just like every other online role playing game. I can't believe developers still try to claim that "you can solo" in games like these, and people are still dumb enough to believe it.

Guarantee when this game hits, half of the complaints will be about how boring the questing is for players trying to play it solo.

Oh sure, you can play it solo as long as you don't mind the deathsquads roaming the wastelands that kill every player they can find while you try to collect your generic 10 Scorpion Anal Glands for a quest.

Literally the worst teaser ever.

Literally a 20-second forward-tracking shot of a static landscape that doesn't even look that great or detailed, and likely could have been generated by a team of Bethesda developers in less than half an hour. I have a firm suspicion this was thrown together after the Fallout 76 announcement was a disaster.

@MusterX is right. The game is at least 3-4 years away if this is all they have to show.

Here @Madmick I just found a NEW BETTER ESO6 teaser

For me at least, its another situation of a gaming company losing touch with its base. I didn't want Fallout 76, I wanted Fallout 5. And really what people want, myself included is Elder Scrolls 6 but Bethesda can't roll out these things because they are too busy working on stuff most of their loyal customers don't give a shit about. So at the end they show a title screen for Elder Scrolls 6 as if that's supposed to make me cheer. The game probably won't be ready for 4 more years MF'ers. It looks like they put that together to make things look better than they are.

Companies get this way and I hate it. Blizzard used to be an awesome gaming company but they get complacent. Fans of Blizzard want Warcraft, they want Diablo 4, they want those flagship titles and instead Blizzard goes and devotes all its time to making shit like Overwatch. Same thing with Bethesda, they forget what got them to the show. Fuck all that other shit Bethesda. You could have made 2 announcements and had the best E3 you ever had. "We've devoted the company to working on Fallout 5 and Elder Scrolls 6 and here they are."

Frankly that's what we care about Bethesda, not your mobile app for The Blades. I think you are right, that splash of ES6 was thrown together to try to save face with a large chunk of its customers.

Agreed. On some level I applaud companies for taking shots on new ideas, but all of their announcements seem like “me too!” cash grabs.

I can barely contain my patience.

I think their little teaser might have been appropriate if they at least released the full title.

Elder Scrolls 6: Hammerfell or whatever.

But that was really just pointless.

Really Bethesda? You're making a sequel to your flagship game? I am so surprised.

Well, 6 does come after 5.

ESO is doing very well (I myself couldn't get into it after sinking so many hours into Skyrim and expecting a similar experience) so I'm assuming that we're going to have to wait a long while for this.

Its a bitter sweet situation. On the one hand Fallout 76 agitates me in a big and negative way but on the other I'm glad to see ES6 might be made in another 3 or 4 years, that only makes the gap between Skyrim and Elder Scrolls 6 about 10+ years. The best thing they teased that could be coming out in the next 12-24 months is Doom Eternal and I am very happy to see that because I wasn't expecting it. Bethesda makes me crazy. I both love and hate those MF'ers at the same time.

This should hold you over.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for ES6 but I have been for a period of years now. Its been a long time. Todd Howard or whoever is making the decisions over there wasted a ton of time and energy trying to make an Elder Scrolls MMO, and now they are doubling down on Fallout 76. I'm still very much a fan of Bethesda but they do things that I hate too.

It's at least 4 years away, maybe more. I can't be hyped for that long. I'll get hyped when it's almost out.

I don't really have faith in Bethesda at this point. 10 years ago they might have only been beaten by Bioware or Rockstar in my eyes. Ten years later, and all three seem to have lost the plot.

I thought Skyrim was very bland and lacking a lot of the character from old games, and I still haven't beaten FO4 because it's so dull after like 75 hours. Can't be bothered to beat the story.

It just dawned on me the very music they used for that demo was from Skyrim. I mentioned this to a friend in a text. He messages me back, "Did you notice that landscape just looks like a Skyrim setting with the snow removed?"

My suspicion is cementing.

*Edit* It occurred to me this music was from the earlier games, too. I had to double check to be sure. Forgive me. It has been 10 years (correction to this correction: 12 years). My friend's observation stands.

Its almost like there were too many A-holes like me that reacted negatively to their big reveal of Fallout 76 so they threw up a 30 second thing for ES6 as a haha, you aren't getting it anytime soon lol.

This is Bethesda to its player base.

Skyrim was released in 2011 and people have been begging for the next instalment ever since. Yet after almost seven years Bethesda still has nothing concrete to show. They're burning through all that goodwill.

The trailer was padding to a slightly weak conference. So was the Starfield teaser. They have a big show like Microsoft or EA, but Bethesda aren't on that level yet.

I'm not mad, and I'll play the shit out of TES VI, when it eventually comes out.

Yeah, that approach isn't working so well, is it? They were the butt of this E3 in the press and online social media.

Don't fix what isn't broken, but don't neglect what is.

I feel you on that. I feel like what most have said it was just to get social media off their back even tho every gamer on this planet knows it exists. I honestly think they shouldn’t have shown anything. We’re way too off. Even though it sucked overall and unnecessary the way they did it was to me right.

Still give me FO5 and ES6 and that’s it!!
