After Ronda's unprecedented hype and build up, and her obnoxious arrogant attitude to go along with it, when she got humiliated she reacted like a sore lose which only increased the vitriol and hate towards her.

Conor on the other hand despite the same amount of hype and arrogant trash talk if not more, reacted the honorable way. He admitted he lost fair and square ( for the most part), he came to the press conference like a man and faced the music, didn't talk about commiting suicide, and didn't run and hide in shame.

For the record I wasn't a fan of either of them and lmao watching both of them go down, but I have to grudgingly admit that I have a new found respect for Conor in the way he handled his defeat. He talked the talk, lost, and didn't hide from his defeat which takes courage, a courage that separates him from being put in the same category as Ronda.

Yeah, I must admit that Connor has really handled his loss very well. Rousey...not so much.

lol conor fans.....

"at least hes cooler than ronda"

well after seeing how it went for ronda he was like "fook all that noise"

"please dont ronda our conor"

lets decide after Ronda had a fight alright, same goes for Conor

Ronda didn't lose in MMA match till then, Conor had already tasted defeat...so he should have handled it better since it wasn't some new experience in MMA.

Because I think Conor is realistic, while he talked himself up I'm sure he knew the risks of every fight he went into. He probably knew there was a chance that Diaz could be too much for him. I think Rousey actually believed she was unbeatable, she probably looked at the rest of WMMA and felt she was miles ahead of all of them, was most likely a tough fall back down to reality when Holly sent her to Night Night town.

handled it well? is that why he was making an excuse that Nate was heavier?

There's also a huge huge huge difference. Conor is still champion. he moved up in weight by 25lbs and fought a much larger man. And no, they are not the same weight. but at the end of the day, conor did lose. he lost a ww fight. A weight he has never fought at in his life. He is still the fw champion, who ko'd the #1 p4p best in 13 seconds. That is all still 100% true...moving up in weight, and losing, does not take away from what you did 2 weight classes lower.

McGregor handled it well for all of two minutes, then let his bitterness spew out as he attacked Aldo and RDA then proceeded to hurl out every excuse under the sun for his loss.

Ronda is literally, the worst of what MMA is all about. PERIOD. Self awareness, Humility, and Respect.

Trash talk your opponent all you want Pre fight... but post fight,
Be humble...Be classy.
Be aware of what your opponent has taught you, fucking learn.
Respect your opponent who has met you in the cage with Millions watching, and putting it on the line.

Conor knows now to learn to pace himself, and sure as hell knows that jumping weight is an issue not to be taken lightly.

Ronda didn't learn anything, and still hasnt given Holly Credit, and we all know she will probably never credit meisha either.
She goes on Ellen, and talks about Suicide, and having babies.
Appears on a Video game conference, and states doesn't want to talk about fighting.
4-5 months post Holly fight.

Conor is a Martial Artist who is still learning.
Ronda was a celeb, and fighting was for her Ego.

Props to Conor for saving the event
yep he was cool in defeat

No Pokemon marathons for Conor.

He handled it like a true fighter should and I respect that! He was humble and respectful in defeat but still kept his head high

Ronda = pillow.png

He is heavier. That is fact. Nate has fought his entire career at lw and ww. Conor has 3 fights at lw, over 3 years ago. Since conor has been in the ufc, he has only fought at 145lbs. he moved up in weight to fight a much larger man; and lost.

Ronda set herself up by saying she would retire undefeated

Conor has some crow to eat as well

who cares. He is just not believable anymore
Not believable anymore? Only a fucking idiot would believe he was the greatest fighter ever, best p4p fighter, and was capable of competing with top welterweights.

Conor just went after something that wasn't part of the ordinary for other fighters, and he lost...no real shame in that, IMO. I just hope he does like BJ after GSP and continues to murder his division.
