This series 'The Day...' is about 'extraordinary' moments in NHB/Vale Tudo history.

Was @ JJ vs. MA - Jiu-Jitsu vs. Martial Arts...[30/11/1984]
(was in reality GJJ vs MT)
Context:
Huas [claimed he was a WW then, aprox. 176 lbs, but arguably looks like a MW in the video] would take one LHW Pinduka.
Was supposed to be against Helson, then Henzo, then Fred Bomba 1st...finally against Pinduka, Carlson´s [toughest] student...
Pinduka had only 1 Vale Tudo fight, was already 10 years older than Huas.
Outcome:
Ended with a Draw...
You can watch the fight and try to decide who won... Both claimed victory...
(Pinduka said under Modern Rules, he would have won, while Ruas claimed that he inflicted more damage from the bottom...kind of a Bas vs Randleman situation)
Controversy:
At one point during the fight, while Pinduka was in Huas´guard, Marco heard a voice sayin´:
"Headbutt! Headbutt to his nose!"
Huas looked up...It was Helio Vigio...The Referee!?!
Yeah, the same one who worked @ UFC 1...
He was a GJJ student, Black Belt, Police Officer.
[Puzzlin´] Historical Situations:
The Luta Livre Crew waited till the Tadeu vs Henzo fight to contest this Fight Configuration [they refused to start the event until a 'fair' Ref. was chosen in the audience...]...
They let 2 BJJ vs Luta Livre events happen...
The events were controlled by them Gracies, and they would give very few tickets to the Luta Livre crew (1/10), who found themselves outnumbered in the audience...
Even Rei Zulu complained about him Ref. helpin´Hickson during the fight...
