Media The Day Big Daddy got really, really 'intimate' with THE Pedro ... #30

I love Gary, but yeah, I'd rather forget this moment.

Coleman saw Wand greasing up backstage at an IVC event (Wand vs Van-Arsdale, IIRC), and Wand just smiled at him. Rules and regulations were pretty slack back then, at IVC events.

The Pedro did manage to last a full 15 minutes or more with his junk being toyed with

I like to think Big Daddy was just looking out for his co-workers, checking for lumps etc. You know most guys don't bother

Good tournament for Gary, he got a nice sub in the first round as well

I've never seen that pulled off from standing before.
That's nuts.

That was on purpose, Sergio Batarelli (IVC Promotor) wanted the most hardcore rules possible, pure traditional Vale Tudo style. That was IVC´s differential, according to him.

Even the Doctor was not allowed to stop the action to check a cut!

Underrated creative Big Daddy indeed...

People dismissin´ his [advanced] modern 'Guard'...

Oooppzzz.. Big Daddy himself used the word 'creativity' in his book 'GATEKEEPER' [p. 90]...

He´s givin´there his version of what happened... Curious version, tbh...

"Gary went into this matchup complaining that this pussy organization didn't allow his two favorite moves: biting and eye-gouging"

That's the gayest thing since my browser history

LOLz all around.

You are the man, @gono btw. Makes me miss the good ol days so bad.

Off topic does anyone remember the first mma "podcast" (that I know about) which was Ryan Bennett's live internet radio show (no downloads).

It featured a rap battle where, I SHIT YOU NOT, Yves Edwards lost to Chris Leben (and others) by a mile. Leban was actually good.

Also co-host Frank Trigg was actually tolerable because he clearly didn't give a fuck. Was actually fun to listen to him shit on fighters.

Was it earlier than Eddie Goldmans "No Holds Barred"?
