I'm sure most of you know this already, but I never heard of it before.

True story. Homosexual ex-marine averted assasination attempt on President Ford.

Sipple was part of a crowd of about 3,000 people who had gathered outside San Francisco's St. Francis Hotel to see President Ford on September 22, 1975. Ford, just emerging from the building, was vulnerable despite heavy security protection. Sipple noticed a woman next to him had drawn and leveled a .38-caliber pistol at Ford as he headed to his limousine. Reacting instinctively, Sipple lunged at the woman, Sara Jane Moore, just as her finger squeezed the trigger. While the gun did go off, Sipple's contact was enough to deflect her aim and cause the bullet to miss.[6] The bullet ricocheted and hit John Ludwig, a 42-year-old taxi driver. Ludwig survived.[7] The incident came just three weeks after Lynette Fromme's assassination attempt on Ford. Reporters hounded Sipple who at first did not want his name used, nor his location known.

His family did not know that he was gay and he did not want it reported. Media were approached by multiple members of the gay community and asked to report on it since they had the expectation that this would reduce prejudice against gays.

The media eventually started reporting that he was homosexual. His mother disparaged and disowned him and never talked to him again until she died. It was also speculated (though never proven) that he was not invited to the White House and instead only received a note because of his sexuality. Sipple sued media outlets without success and became a paranoid and suicidal alcoholic.

On February 2, 1989, he was found dead in his bed, at the age of 47. Earlier that day, Sipple had visited a friend and said he had been turned away by the Veterans Administration hospital where he went concerning his difficulty in breathing due to pneumonia.

wow, the media knew he didn't want it revealed but had an agenda to carry out. pieces of shit

Sounds like he became a political pawn.

No good deed goes unpunished.

He did a good thing. But Homosexual acts are still disordered sexual behaviors. We all do good and bad things.

So in your opinion does he go to heaven or hell because you know *that sin* erases any good deeds since hes unrepentent?

If anyone of us repents of our sins (homo or hetero) and asks Jesus into our heart, his blood covers our sin. So we don't have to pay the penalty. He paid it already. We just need to accept his gift to us.

That's not true at all. It is well established that Jesus was also a homosexual. I'd be willing to bet, you would not say that Jesus had a "disorder".

Jesus was a Hebrew rabbi. Unusually, he was unmarried. At the time, all rabbis were married.

As we know, Jesus loved everyone including his disciples. However, John was known as the "beloved disciple". In John 13:22 it says;

The disciples began looking at one another, at a loss to know of which one He was speaking. There was reclining on Jesus' bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved. [24] So Simon Peter gestured to him, and said to him, "Tell us who it is of whom He is speaking." He, leaning back thus on Jesus' bosom, said to Him, "Lord, who is it?"

That's referring to John (whom was either laying his head on Jesus' chest OR his crotch.

If Jesus loved everyone, why was John his "beloved"? Obviously, because they had a "special" relationship.

In John 21:20 it says;

Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them; the one who also had leaned back on His bosom at the supper and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?"

The interpretation is a bit screwy, but when they refer to his "bosom" it really means his lap. It says he was in his "inner tunic," which is what we would call underwear today. Here is the depiction...

Yes, John was his lover.

In Mark, Jesus even says;

Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen to me, everyone, and understand this. Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them.

Of course, he was talking about sodomy.

Prior to dying, the bible even said;

"When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his mother, 'Woman behold your son!' Then he said to the disciple. 'Behold your mother!' And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home."

Mary became John's mother in law. As if they had an informal gay marriage.

Remember how Jesus identified Judas as the one to betray him? He kissed him.

Jesse Venture believes he was gay

So please, learn your scripture or take your crap somewhere else before you infect anyone with your heresy.

Lol rip wins again.

His mother was a piece of shit, and so were the clowns in the media that didn't give a damn about societal opinions and only cared that outing him as a gay guy would make the story sell even more copies.

@JDragon is winning the Most Depressing Thread of the Day, but its early so get your submissions in soon!

Who dies from pneumonia these days anyway? Dude should have gotten the treatment he deserved.

Lot of work here just to be flippant don't ya think? I'm not even religious and this made me cringe.

It's true though. You'll notice Rip, Jesus Freak, and all the others scurry away because they simply cant counter the evidence. I hate to be the one that completely changes the way they view the world, but someone has to tell them the truth; what the believe in is not real christianity. Real christianity does not hide the fact that Jesus was a homosexual.

You're so clever!

this is liberal code for "we have no proof, but they are republicans so it is obvious they hate gays, so we will just put it out there anyways"
