I really liked it tbh even though most seem to despise it. It has an amazing performance from the underrated Elias Koteas, and James Spader at his sleaziest. One of my favourite Cronenberg movies

That's the good crash. The bad crash is the one that won best picture because it was about racism.

The one you linked is weird but if you're a fan of cronenberg it's worth a watch. Not great, but better than the Oscar-bait one.

Yeah the dubbing is really bad and noticeable in parts. 1 or 2 parts where the lips aren't even moving.

Yeah it wasn't bad. Kind of got lost in the Single White Female / Hand That Rocks the Cradle / Poison Ivy wave of obsession movies in the early 90s. Launched her into Aerosmith videos and Clueless and then...I guess Batman and Robin was the death knell.

I saw this pop up on Amazon. Apparently it was popular when it came out but I didnt remember it. Starring alicia Silverstone, Cary Elwes, and Kurtwood Smith. Basic plot is a 14 year old girl (Silverstone) becomes obsessed with Elwes and sabotages his life.

It's pretty much a fatal attraction type movie but I thought it was pretty good. Nice simple 90s thriller that's pretty over the top at parts. There is some questionable presentation of the then I'm assuming around 16 year old Silverstone. But it was overall a fun little thriller that I enjoyed.

Anyone see this? It's got a low rotten tomato and imdb score but I really didnt think it was all that bad just dumb in some parts especially Elwes character who makes dumb decision one after the other. Its definitely a turn your brain off one.

She was hot AF but Poison Ivy from the next year, starring Drew Barrymore, was the better jail bait thriller movie at the time and all time, IMO. Barrymore was also 16 when the movie was filmed. Probably both don't get made these days, especially not with underage actresses doing nude/sex scenes.

She's about 5 years older than me and was indeed 16 when she filmed it. She was hot AF but Poison Ivy from the next year, starring Drew Barrymore, was the better jail bait thriller movie at the time and all time, IMO. Barrymore was also 16 when the movie was filmed. Probably both don't get made these days, especially not with underage actresses doing nude/sex scenes.

Poison Ivy was released on May 8, 1992. Drew Barrymore was born on February 22, 1975. Poison Ivy was filmed between May 13 and June 28, 1991. Meaning she was 16 when it was filmed, 17 when it was released.

She wasn't that young as I already showed in my last post. Also, most of us were SEVERAL years younger at the time so it wasn't a you know what thing.
