The most significant punch of that exchange was landed by Conor, the only punch he threw while Mendes threw 3 (missing two badly and having the other deflated).

A glancing blow to the eye crest with the pinkie knuckle? Lol ok.
"When People Don't Train" starring Got CAN?
All it takes is a glancing blow from Conor's left straight, you dip. On top of that, Mendes collided into it face first (due to Conor's superior timing). Do the math on how that would usually work out had it connected more cleanly. And it was more than just his pinky finger's knuckle that landed.

I also do train. I've been a martial artist since I was 9 and can easily prove that. I've been to many MMA gyms and sparred with all kinds of guys, local fighters and guys in town just visiting the area. You don't even need to train to know what TS is not just telling you but SHOWING you. You're not very bright.
Notice I have no issues with TS's posts. And cool, kid. 2 years of martial arts training! Congrats, you'll be in a training bra any day now squirt!
Go ahead, prove it. Because all I see from you is copy pasted from Reddit, people who actually train. You know, ones who know the difference between a hook and an overhand, or a scissor sweep vs a pendulum sweep.
Read Jack Slack. That's some bible-level knowledge being dropped there. The man knows wtf he's talking about
I already proved you wrong in that that sweep has several names for it. It's also a BJJ name and I never claimed to be a BJJ expert. I prefer Catch Wrestling and would school you on that as well. You do realize that an "overhand" doesn't even exist as one of the basic textbook punches in boxing, right? An overhand can also be thrown with an arc trajectory, short and long.
You've never been able to prove anything because all you do is go to places like Reddit to try and learn when I do the shit. I'm 32 now and started training at 9, "squirt".
Wow, such proof.
No, a scissor sweep and a pendulum sweep are never the same. No one calls a pendulum a scissor EVER. And I'm glad you read up on the overhand, we were all getting tired of your misuse.
Only agreed upon by you 5 Jones ball suckers
Learn how to actually read because my point was that Wanderlie has more KOs then Jones has total fights
That Jones barely has 22 fights
That to even include Jones in the convo of all time GOAT is not only insane ignorance but disrespectgul to every other legit GOAT who put in the work over a long body of career and EARNED their spot OVER TIME
In fact Jones will never rank high on GOAT lists because he was nothing but size and reach and only really beat OLD past their prime fighters and MWs. His only elite PRIME opponents being Gus and DC. Gus beat him according to most and DC is 36
Its so see through when I read this thread and the "people" hating on Conor all seem to be hardcore Anderson/Jones newb fans. The racisim is being exposed
Boxingislife is straight schooling these nubs. Good job man. And you're completely right about Condit and Matt Brown having SUPERIOR step-in elbows to Jones. Jones almost always has AT LEAST an 8" reach advantage on his opponents, but it's been as high as around a foot. Conor didn't even have a usable 8" reach advantage on Mendes because Conor's chest is much broader and they measure your wingspan across the chest. Realistically, the difference in reach was about 5-6", so 2.5" to 3" per arm. That's not that much. Conor never needed long arms to be able to control distance and land anyway. Anyone that thinks otherwise needs to stop watching MMA altogether.
I feel bad for you two.
Two posters with zero credibility sticking together.
No, anyone who actually knows striking, agrees with me, because that's what was, its the reality. Im simply breaking down the why and how of what happened. You're the troll and I already debunked you and the other Conor hating trolls spaming this thread with multiple accounts
Bjj came from judo which came from Japanese jujutsu.
The guard was used in Japan in the 1600's. Wrapping your legs around your opponent's hips prevented him from drawing his wakizashi, tanto, or yoroidoshi and stabbing you. Fusen-ryu called it "the guard" in the 19th century, well before catch.
Also notice I never called Chad's punch anything at all, and wow, copy paste again. You use semantics, graphics, and put words in others mouths to cover your utter lack of real world training.
This has gotten way out of hand. 47 pages about 1 gif resulting in 2 punches.
Mendes was more than a challenge for Conor. Conor was lucky to beat him at all.
That might change in the future though.
