WAR CATSMASHER!

Seriously though. Is there any other big time Leben fans on these forums? He was the first guy that I was a big fan of. He always threw together a good 2-3 win streak every now and then but just couldn't push it any further to be in within title contention.

My favourite moments from The Crippler;

1) His fight with Akiyama. Such a fun fight as a Leben fan. We got to see him work some of his underrated ground game as well. Absolute war.

2) KO over Wanderli from the clinch.

3) KO over Alessio Sakara (Alessio was a pro boxer prior, so this was a big win for Leben IMO)

4) That comeback KO of Terry Martin. Damn that was sick.

5) Getting demolished by Anderson. The guy is still fun to watch even on a loss.

Probably good that he is gone now though because USADA would of steamrolled him worse than Andy did.

I always rooted for him and enjoyed his fights...he could take a good shot and still come forward...the KO of Wandy was a nice feather in his cap

Leben fan here. Leben was a different kind of legend. He wasn't a super talented fighter, or a super technical fighter. But he lived and died by the sword fight in and fight out. When you hurt him he just kept coming forward, and was even more dangerous it seemed. When he hurt you, you were likely going to end up on your back looking up at the lights of the arena while his hand got raised.

Few guys ever brought the excitement Leben did every fight.

I did read it. It was an interesting book. He definitely had a wilder life than you probably assume.
