They've changed so much from the comics already and done a great job with it.

The Deep could have been any race and it wouldn't matter. Stormfront is a neonazi. If stormfront isn't a racist nazi on the show it won't really matter but if so it really doesn't make any sense.

The biggest let down for me was that he wasn't jacked

He's also the third strongest Supe in the world. In the comic, all the Boys have Super Strength, not just The Female, and Stormfront kicks the shit out of all of them. It takes the entire team working together with another powerful Supe to bring Stormfront down.

His official Vought backstory in the comics is that he's a reincarnated Viking warrior, which makes Stormfront a piss-take of Thor. Changing all this to a female character is so dumb they might as well just call her by a different name.
