Man, from Banshee to this and then seeing him in interviews. This guy is an ACTOR. I bet many didnt recognize him from Banshee. He completely changes mannerism, stance, accent, effin gait. Its almost hilarious how 95% of current film actors ,even certain "legends" who are playing same character for decades, arent up to ankles to this guy yet everyone praises them and their silly dark masochistic movies where they turn after hitting big mainstream, as if that is the place to show prowess.

His physical acting for Homelander is so damn good it’s not even funny. He can sell the character without saying a word, just the mannerisms, micro expressions and looks he puts on.

Agree to disagree. The Boys changed huge chunks of the comic and made the TV show all the better for it. Preacher did the same but, IMHO, it ended up an inferior copy. For example, Cassidy is Nerfed to the point he's not much stronger than a normal human. In the comics he possess superhuman strength and can tear someone apart with his bare hands.

When he and Custer fight at the end of the comic run, Custer is able to dominate him because Cass was so strong, he never had to learn how to fight. And Cass still manages to break Jessie's sternum with a single sucker-punch.

Good performances from all the main cast, but I didn't like the script.

The 1st couple of seasons of ‘Preacher’ were great.. then it went completely off the rails and became almost childish with some of the writers stances on things

I think JDM now has the record, or tied with it, for the actor with the most comic character roles.

1. The Comedian - Watchmen
2. Bruce Wayne's father - Batman Vs Superman
3. Negan - The Walking Dead
4. The Boys.

Chris Evans is in 6 if you count non american comics
1: mcu: Cap
2: Fantastic Four - human torch
3: ninja turtles: Casey Jones (2007 movie)
4: Scott Pilgrim vs the world: Lucas lee
5:The losers: jensen
6: Snowpiercer: curtis

7:kinda not really Push...there was a comic limited series made as a prequel/lead in to the movie.

Yup, those are what he's known for.

3: ninja turtles: Casey Jones (2007 movie)

Kinda/Sorta. Not to diminish voice actors, but I don't buy the appeal of traditional actors doing voice acting roles when in most cases the voice actors do better jobs.

4: Scott Pilgrim vs the world: Lucas lee
5:The losers: jensen
6: Snowpiercer: curtis

Haven't even heard of these.

I was so fucking stoked for preacher and they just fucking destroyed it. I didn’t even finish it.

Same thing with Legion. First season was good then it just went off the rails.

Tbf, I wasn’t a fan of the comic so I didn’t have some of the same attachments to the original material you may have. I actually thought the 1st season was spectacular and it still stands out even today as being totally different than anything else on tv..

As far as some of the casting that bothered people.. Tulip being played by Ruth didn’t bother me because I thought she did a bang up job in the role.. sure they did have to change some things about the character (like the racist aspect of Tulips comic personality) but I was able to live with that. Cassidy being powered down was hit or miss for me as well but the actor portraying him was stellar imo

What I personally didn’t like was the blatant over the top messaging worked into the material as the series went on.. I mean I get that the creator hates religion but the takes started to come off so out of pocket to me that they bordered on childish hatred and it pulled me out of the show too much.. not to mention I thought some of it was downright tasteless.
