The bitcoin fraud

My question has always been, how easy is it to turn into tangible American dollars?

If I had bought 50 bucks back in 2011 when I first heard about it, would I be able to actually get the 5 grand or whatever absurd number they're claiming it'd be worth now in cash?

$5k isn't hard to get. $50k, however, and you have to take a big haircut to get paid in one day.

The reality is, a lot of the price in bitcoin isn't backed by USD, it's backed by alternative coins traded in. Which means, when lots of people cash out, there just isn't enough USD to go around.

Yea people are "rich" in bitcoin. Millionaires even. But who is going to pay real cash for it? It will collapse when people starts trading it in.

I thought journalists uncovered the creator of bitcoin...?

haha yeah the mysterious creator.

To me it reeks of some government type operation, sort of like how the Tor network was.

Several years ago I thought BitCoin would be a challenger to the dollar - and for that reason I thought the gov and the fed reserve would quickly shut it down.

Now that that hasn’t happened, I wonder why. If this is not a challenger to the dollar, is it instead the eventual replacement for the dollar? A true one world currency? All it needs now is for the central-banking of several leading countries to normalize its use and it would be.

My biggest concern is them being stolen.

Have a client who cashed in $55 million. Which was about 99.3% of their net worth. Crazy ballsy.

BitCoin brings an interesting challenge to taxation. How does the state apply tax (income, capital gains, etc) to a person who only accrues Cryptocurrency?

I’ve always thought this was what troubled the state the most.

It's good if you are into online sports gambling like me. A lot of American banks don't allow overseas purchases, but that restriction is easily bypassed by buying and using bitcoins instead.

Bitcoins are also obviously used for money laundering.

You're right, bitcoin is a fraud.

Savvy investors know dogecoin is the future.

If someone wants to go through the trouble, you can create your own crypto currency and have people mine it.

What company has benefited the most from both crypto crazes?
