The biggest box office flops of all time ranked

The main takeaway is that the biggest box office flop is The Marvels at $237 million

Some right wing bro friendly stuff like Battleship high up the list as well.

Honestly some of that I think its just a case of if you can fool Hollywood into giving you money for something good without mass appeal then do it, Blade Runner 2049 and Babylon obviously stand out along those lines.

Huh, I quite enjoyed Battleship. Especially towards the end when they team up with the veterans...corny but I liked it. Just ignore all the errors in it...

It's still pretty high when you adjust for inflation.

Damn surprised 13th Warrior lost that much money. Aside from the hilarity of Antonio Banderas in brownface eyeshadow playing an Iraqi muslim, that was a solid movie that should have had broad appeal.

I have toured the Battleship Missouri and walked the wooden planks where the formal surrender of the Japanese military took place.
Absolutely incredible experience.

It's not even on there. lmao
I confused Waterworld with Cutthroat Island. o_O

Edit: I guess this is why it's no longer listed.

The total costs for Waterworld (1995) exceeded $300 million and it was perceived as a disaster at the time, despite grossing $264 million worldwide. It also eventually broke even through other revenue streams.

Well that is adjusted for inflation. It lost roughly $120 million in 1999 money.
