Adblock plus or Brave browser... are you still stuck in the 90's and can't figure out how to make ads go away permanently in 20 seconds?
 
I want to have a word with the fucking idiot who thought a half page advert that doesn't go away was a good idea

They still don't get it... if they put unobtrusive ads on a page, more people would leave them there to help support the site, but instead they make them so utterly obnoxious that it forces people into blocking advertising completely and they get zero revenue instead.

Blatant greed and stupidity.

It reeks of the kind of stuff business students will laugh at in a couple of generations. How all this cannibalisation took place from trying to monetise everything at all costs with adds and newsletters and accounts creation etc.
 
First thing that I've done on my last few phones is disable Chrome and install Brave. It's simple and it works.

I know everyone has said Brave but I feel the need to post it too. It's that easy and requires no add ons.

TBH though Brave doesn‘t work perfectly. In some pages I go to it sort of gets stuck when scrolling down on the Iphone. But for sherdog it certainly is the most adequate browser

I've never had this issue. It works perfect on my Android. Someone mentioned Ublock Origin earlier, I use that with Chrome and also addblock+ on my desktop, and don't get one ad on there either. Lots of options.
 
Yeah this is pissing me off. I get there are ways to get around it, but I feel like I shouldn't have to. I've been here 20 years and never had a problem with ads before. I'm getting tired of this shit. I feel like I keep needing to find reasons to stay on here rather than just accept the inevitable and move on.
 
Never seen those ads unless I enter site without being logged in then it's a total mess.

I think it’s all a ploy by the bosses. There’s no adblocks on my work computer and sites like YouTube are unusable. I’ve been on the internet on my work computer twice in total as a result.
 
Adblocker on safari. I never see any ads.

Rami thoroughly deserved his Oscar playing Freddie Mercury, and I say this as a massive Freddie fan. He was brilliant in Sound of Metal too playing a drummer who starts losing hearing. He's a great actor.
