The Anime and Manga Thread v47

Keep hearing how Deming slayer is great . I tried to watch but looked like it was subtitled . I will watch subtitled live action but making subtitled anime is just lazy as it's the easiest thing to dub.

If you mean Demon Slayer, they have dubs too.

I am about finished with the Stardust or whatever it is called season of JoJo......and I gotta ask: Does the show get good at some point?

Been super repetitive and the humor is ass so far. IMO of course
This manga was created since the 80s until now. Stardust crusaders is like the middle of the series in the 90s. Some stuff seems dated but you see the artist’s art and story telling change as time goes on. The anime was made much later but it doesn’t change much.

Stardust Crusaders was the reason I got back into anime. I was a little kid when I first saw the OVA. This Asian kid in class gave me one of his videos. I never finished the series. I just caught the reboot way later and got back into watching anime again.

Yeah, S1 is ass brada. I was like that too. But S2 happens hahaha.

I'm seriously asking, but did you cry at all watching Koe no Katachi? Some people said they cry in Youtube comment section, but I don't feel anything watching it.
I didn't cry watching A Silent Voice (though the balcony scene and the final scene got close), it was a movie that stuck with me for a few days after and made me think.
Moments that have got me (Trying to avoid spoilers for people who haven't watched)
United States of Smash - My Hero Academia
Makarov's sacrifices - Fairy Tail
Most of Season 1 (Especially the final ep) - To your Eternity
Lucy Aquarius goodbye - Fairy Tail
Most of the fucking show - Angel Beats
Ending - Anohana
Episode 1 ending - Edens Zero

I watchedAnohana because I saw the final scene. The final scene was really good, but the whole anime is not very enjoyable imo. I managed to watch until eps 4 before tapping out.

Whoa you watch a lot of stuff brada. I thought you'd be a picky person and only watch some type of anime. I'm probably more picky than you.

I watch probably an entire show or two a week. Cause me and my girlfriend binge watch it. We will probably have finished Mob Psycho in the next three days. I'm basically the Mr Worldwide of anime, I watch everything.

HxH is sooo friggin good on its peak. I got 10 episode left, I can say it's equal to FMAB. I think HxH have the potential to be better though because the HxH world is so large and have so many great characters.

They did my fav character Knov very dirty, it was messed up. I wish Gon wasn't the main character, he is kind of generic compared to Killua and Kurapika.

I personally like FMAB better but HXH is really good.

No spoilers, but Kurapika basically becomes the main character where the manga picks up after the anime finishes.

I always felt like he was kind of a main character. Basically the same scenario as Sasuke and Naruto.

He was A main character, but I'm saying that he becomes THE main character.
It might be non permanent thing, he also became the MC during Yorknew arc. Meruem is also an MC during 2nd half of Chimera arc imo.

I really hope it can be permanent though, Gon suxxx.

If you watch the anime. There is this part he makes a pact. I guess it is permanent?

Yea but apparently he gets healed and just sort of has to relearn everything

I think Gon will eventually come back and this sort of them just taking a break from his character.

I was feeling for a Kurapika heel turn incoming soon in the manga (no spoiler)

just a guess on togashi style and mindset
