It used to be in my top 5.....but I recently rewatched it and its damn mediocre. I cant believe I liked it that much even after many rewatches. I guess I had shitty taste when I was much younger or I was taken by the insane hype it had when it started.

Awful characters and so much bullshit Deus Ex machina, there was pretty much no strategy and just make shit up as you go along....its not even close to AOT, or Death Note.

i'm not sure you comprehend just how ironic this statement is, given how death note and aot imploded.

that said, code geass couldn't leave well enough, alone...

What chapter is Ippo currently in now ? Because I'm seeing stiff that says Wally is sparring but you all mention that Ippo is Sparring with Volg

Mori must be heavily conflicted , knowing how it all ends but probably being held back by thought of not being able to match Miura's talent in letting go his work come to life . Although he must feel like he owes it to him to finish his story .

I've been on this journey with Guts for 17+ years, It's become more than just a regular series for me.
I'm just grateful I get a chance to finish it and I'm sparing a thought for all who left us along the way.

That's wild but I'm also reminded that Ippo is 2 years away from hitting its 35th year.

Yeah , I think Elbaf , the results of the Reverie and then Black Beard and Imu will be covered in this final ARC/SAGA , Wano was over 120 chapters so I expect the next one to be 150-200 chapters long

1383 is the last chapter I read, it ends with Ippo putting on gear to get in the ring to help Volg train.

I think part of his Journey/Road to redemption has been healed by his companions. Scheirke , Isidro, Puck and Casca in a childlike state , despite having to cross into the Berserk Armour to some of the powerful apostles those characters have humanized him, he's not the same black swordsman he was before we saw the Golden Age arc. I don't think he lives at the end of the series but at the very least he will find peace.

Well Miura gave the team a manuscript. So only they know the ending but there is one.

Who knows with Hunter X Hunter? I think this may be the last arc anyways.
