The amazing Boxing skills of Ronda Rousey.

I've saw better English skills from ten year olds in there homework.

Dude, what are you talking about? 95% of the boxing techniques means a td in mma! That's why you get "flawed" techniques. But what Ronda does is not even mma striking! Seriously, it's beyond pathetic. What kind of punching power can she generate? I'm surprised that this same person is able to KO anyone!, clearly her division is full of cans, real cans.

Don't worry about that kid, he's the biggest Ronda apologist on the forums. Ronda is shadow boxing in that gif and still looks ridiculously bad.

Every time this comes up you post the exact same thing yet on Fedor threads you talk about how he sucks. Interesting. You should release a stop picking on Brittany video:icon_cry2

yeah, the guy is pitiful

:icon_lol:

Is this one of those "I don't like what you're saying, but have nothing in return so I'll point out errors in your sentence" type of comment? :O

Others have pointed out the flaw in OP's thinking, which I don't think is really even worthy of response.
I'll make it easier though, to understand my comment:

If one is going to blast others critically, one should be able to express it without seeming so retarded.

Wladimir is probably filling his jockies in fear, and I've heard Floyde retired to avoid a super fight with her

It's "just" good enough to make her a multi-millionaire....

Yea...Cause the supposed GOAT of MMA's "boxing technique" is soooo amazing....

You Trolls are ridiculous.

MMA is not boxing, so quit trying to compare womens OR mens striking to “proper boxing technique”.

The truth is 95% of the boxing technique in MMA is technically flawed. Some of MMA's most feared strikers in Wand and Shogun have terrible technique with wild looping and winged punches.

What matters in MMA is "effective striking", and with 2 KO's in her last three fights Ronda is doing just fine in the Striking department, especially considering she just added it to her arsenal a few years ago, she is just going to get better.

Fedor didn't throw punches standing straight up with his chin in the air. Ronda got tagged frequently by Tate the last time they fought. I honestly think Meisha would have won that fight if she had any fight IQ at all. Instead Tate would land a few nice punches and then clinch or go for a takedown against a freaking Judo Olympian. And against Betche, Ronda got tagged a couple of times, but her pressure had Betche out of her element. Ronda looks great when hitting pads and she does have power, but her technique goes completely out the window when she tries to strike in the octagon. It has worked so far against subpar competition, but if she ever fights someone with serious power ( Nunes, Cyborg) she could easily get clipped.

She was able to ko a part time mma fighter in Bethe though. Don't forget that. How many of these girls even train full time? Ronda does, cause she makes good money but most don't. Most are probably aerobic instructors.

That clip of young Tyson shadowboxing always impresses the shit outta me.

I've never seen it before. It's nuts.

Doesn't help that the Ronda gif is slowed down next to that, but I appreciate what the OP is trying to say.

Also mechanically and tactically those Fedor punches aren't all that wrong.
Fedor is putting a considerable amount of power while still maintaining a solid base, his footwork is consistent with the shifting of balance and weight transfer being on point.
More importantly Fedor had a striking style that revolved around those punches, he knew how to use them and set them up, and his defense wasn't as compromised as you might think at first glance. His striking style was also very conductive to his grappling.
Prime Fedor's technical prowess is really underappreciated by a lot of people that lacks the knowledge to understand the layers of his game and can't look past his "wild looping punches".

Her striking isn't that good but in MMA striking isn't at the highest level yet as a whole. It will get there in couple years IMO.
