~Regarding ones own art~​

I'm not singling you out here, but expanding what you're saying with a little tweek that also sayz "you have to please yourself, or else nobody else will be pleased either." I'm sure you know this by looking at your art... and so I wanted to try & communicate that to others who might be on the fence. Through the yearz we're seeing endless people saying they're not worthy of producing art, or whatever they say in that regard, and so I wanted to share the idea that although we compete officially... none of this is about the competitions... it's just about enjoying art & creativity & getting a laugh... & so I'd like to point out that if you can make something that you enjoy... then that's the only qualification you need. (within teh sherdog roolz of coarse)

Please yourself with your art. If you are vibing on your own improv... then you've hit gold. That's the stuff you spend your time developing.

Contrast that, with the idea that you're trying to please someone outside of yourself. it's all over the place with opinionz... so just do you.

It's a bit of a scary thing to put your own "delight" on display for the heathenz to bash... but Fook Em... yeah? There'z just as many people who vibe with your delight as there is that isn't.

what I meant to say is, Whenever I draw, I do of course please myself with my art, it's not like I draw with the people in mind. I got my own tastes, etc. what I'm trying to say is that, after I post the art, I got two things running my mind, my pride and how it impacts others. If people hate my art, I'll usually respond with "what do you really not like about my art" and I got the confidence to basically know my art ain't shit man. Then I have people being inspired by my art, I wanted to embrace that part and encourage people to go wild at it, it's not that I'm insecure or not confident in my art or not getting any joy out of my art. the art I draw, it's who I am and if you wanna get inspired by it. I'm gonna encourage it. I hope I explained it well, as I really don't want you to think I'm one of the artists who don't enjoy their own art and always listens to the people instead, I'll never let people run over my art. I only listen to criticism man.

Edit: sry I just woke up and I misread your comment. I realized you wanted to expand what I've said, but I'll just leave my comment there as I do feel I had some really good statements.
