News The 2020 Likepocalypse

This is a failure of the administration of these forums. Incompetence has been running rampant since Sherwood left but it is now astonishingly horrendous.

Maybe we can implement a cap & trade system to manage the likeload. Users who don't plan to use their daily quota of likes can sell the remaining unused likes to other users who have exceeded their daily quota.

Still not understanding, if it had to be reset, why that opportunity wasn't taken to get rid of it completely. Limitation of likes won't suddenly make specific posts look better because people are holding out for the best, it just means the first page will be hit the hardest and forgotten. No one is gonna go "Well, I'm out of likes, but I'll save the second page for tomorrow so I can come back and like some more." That's going to encourage rushes to first page like-whoring and immediate abandonment, moreso than it already was, and will create a circle jerk of "elite-users" moreso than it already was.

And limiting the likes will only slow the real issue that exists, it's like treating the symptom. If there is such a thing as too many likes, we're going to inevitably hit it again, and need them purged again. So what, we just rinse and repeat this? Burn the already burnt bridge when we circle back to it? Sherdog used to not have a like system. When we found out that we can't have, just don't have it. I don't understand how that's not that simple.

This can be done via a black market trade already. @Wadtucket just venmo'd me a dollar to like your post.

I like this post and I want everyone to know.

IM DONE WITH THIS FUCKING WEBSITE!!!

I made myself a goal that at 5k likes I was going to finally lose my virginity, I had planned the venue and which girl... everything.
You found a prostitute that takes Sherdog "likes" as payment for their services? That's like the Holy Grail of sex workers around here. No wonders everyone is upset.

P.S. Could you post the young ladies contact information, I'm inquiring for a friend.

Thanks bruv. This does highlight another issue, though. If users feel like they need to like a post but don't have any (I'm fairly certain I "used" my 25 with only 22), they're just quote a post with no addition or advancement to the discussion, just general agreement. (No offense, I've been thinking about doing it too.)

All that serves is stroking our validation. It's not a discussion. You don't limit the masturbatory practices, just cut em out.
