LMFAO just emasculated that fake tough guy pink goofball in front of everyone. Wish more fighters would do that for all the fuckery he creates.

Looking at the gif, it looks less like an act of defiance from Stipe and more an act of disrespect from Dana, because it looks like he just wants to hand the belt over to Stipe and be done with it, instead of wrapping it around the waist like he usually does.
Dude you are so far off Stipe didn't give Dana a chance to react he turned around immediately and grabbed the belt out of his hands just as Dana was about to walk over and put it on him. Some of you tards spin shit in the wildest ways. Lmao

It always amuses me that it was Stipe—the guy who won't trash talk, the guy described as polite by everybody who knows him, the guy that a crazily high percentage of MMA fans claim has the personality of a cardboard box—who did this. And don't forget he's also the one who literally screamed at Dana White from the cage, demanding to be given a title shot after blowing out Arlovski. "Beware the fury of a patient man", indeed.

It’s just that simple.

it’s funny that so many people hate Jones and said he was ducking heavy weight for a decade, but no one brings up the fact that when he finally moved up, there was no sitting champion, and his first fight was against the easiest matchup for him in the top of that division for probably that entire decade. Now he’s calling for stipe.

Seems like a clever trick he pulled…. And I don’t even really hate the guy. i’m just surprised nobody else has picked up on it.

Also helps that stipe is one of the most underrated, underestimated and under appreciated fighters and champions across all divisions in the entire sport’s history.

Jon has been waiting for HW to be a dead division for years. No way he moves in a division with prime Cain, JDS, Brock, Ubereem, etc.

Dana has a history of openly-rooting for one fighter (vs another), under contract for the company he is president and part-owner. He's an overt scumbag; not surprised even someone as mild-mannered Stipe would go out of his way to embarrass him.

One of my grappl9ng buddies trains with stipe. Buddy is to strong A word. Aquantance, character... but he definitely knows the ins and outs of the professional grappling world. One day on messenger I just flat out asked him "does stipe crush you when you go.no gi" and he goes "it's not even a fight. Like it's not even a question. Stipe just works every one "indiscriminately" Granted it's not a competitive school you see at the ibjjf's - but it's a pro MMA camp. Just thought that was pretty cool anecdote. But also, when you learn to strike do you just kind of forget you have that or is it.more an ego thing?

Blue collar guys like Stipe just naturally hate greedy underhanded businessmen like Dana. Just the way of nature.

Stipe beating Ngannou was the twilight of his "prime" which he was 35 at the time and that's fine. Now he's 40. There is a difference. I just turned 39. Something has happened to me over the last 2 years. Lack of energy, softer elections to the point where I think my penis shrank. Hair growing on my shoulder blades. A few gray hairs in my beard. I'm fighting this thing with every fiber of my being. I'm going to will it not to happen.

It's because you're gay.

Is this how you treat your employer?

I understand we don't like Dana but these fighters better start respecting the man that puts food on their table.
Imagine believing fighter pay comes out of Dana's pocket. Just lol

Yeah -- I'm kind of in a middleground stance on the matter.
...
Stipe is just an entirely different test -- more of a focus on boxing, more power, wrestling background, etc.

No one has ever outwrestled Stipe, right? He's a lot stronger and more technical than people give him credit for.

That said, there's no question Stipe is on his way out, given that he's at or near 40 now. It'll be an interesting fight for sure.
