We all have it.

I was in high school and a bud and me left and went 12 hours away to the show. Lost my virginity to a very, very hot lady that night. Think back and laugh at how bad I must have been.

Fuel was that band for me.

What was it for you?

The big song we were on it to.

Shimmer and later Bittersweet. Either song...I think Bittersweet more so, brings it all back.

Dem the days.

I don't know the name of the group but this was my song

It was Hot Water Music for me and a few of my friends. I almost quit football to go see them with my friends, and regretted not doing it for a while after. That was the only time they played my area that i didn't see them.

I almost drove to Chicago to go see them for a 2nd time on their reunion tour - which also would have been 12 hours - but a snow storm just barely stopped me.

I hardly listen to them now.

You're drunk so I'm not sure what we're supposed to post. Musical madeleines from our teenage years?

If so, these. I remember I discovered Paco de Lucia right before I left on a trip down South. I went there on an Amtrak train. It was winter and it was a long ride. I listened to this and a few other songs a lot. I was going to see relatives who I was connected to by a deceased family member, so that was in the back of my mind. These songs and Paco de Lucia will always remind me of that time.

Or are we supposed to post bands that remind of us getting laid, or that we were obsessed with?

I've read the opening post like 4 times and I can't figure out what this thread is about.

I just played this song to a backyard full of people. If cringes were uppercuts, I'd have a yard full of KOd mofos.

lol. just post a band that influenced u for the longest time & if we're wrong TS will hopefully clarify when hes sober

If this thread is the teenage band that changed/molded the music u listen to them mine would be Faith no more, incubus, and the cardigans

If it's the band U lost ur virginity to it's the pixies.

If it's neither of those then I'll go with silverchair

There were lots of bands when I was a teenager, but one band that I listened to that still stuck with me was Deftones. (if you couldn't tell by my picture lol.)

For me it was the Grateful Dead.
I started going to shows in 1985 and started touring in '87.
Met my first wife at a show in Colorado in '89.
That band was amazing. Too many unforgettable nights.
Just a sample: the night I took a boatload of acid and during the drum solo, while I was peaking, one of the drummers brought something to the front of the stage, a largish box he held up, and when he activated a button, it turned out to be a train horn. It sounded like a train was barreling through the arena, I could feel it in my chest, and my brain simply melted thereafter.

Primus for sure. I saw them a dozen times or more as a kid. Ill add Mr Bungle in for good measure. Their first album changed my life.

Was Mr Bungle a Mike Patton band? I could have wiki'd but for the sake of conversing, I did not.

I have absolutely no clue. Music affects me strongly, but I'm into whatever song that is good. Once I would've said Paradise Lost, Burzum at another, now.. I don't know. I don't care. When the music sets me on fire, it's good, whatever genre or band.

Mr. Bungle was a Mike Patton band, yeah.

Depending on what you are asking? If its the one that's "always there" it's The Offspring. From growing up on them with my friends having Smash and Ixnay as the soundtrack to taking my brother to his first concert, a lot of memories behind their music for me.

If we're doing bands you used to love but don't? Mushroomhead. Growing up in NE Ohio and college in Michigan I was able to see them about 60 times in a 8 year span. Then one day I just didn't care anymore
