You guys pulled a once of a lifetime comedy. I was legit in tears so atleast I can say thanks

I'm pissed he lost. I was hoping he could beat no camp nate so he'd step into the cage with Robbie. Granted it would have been more violence-porn than comedy though.

I wanted to see that fight to but oh well if he can't even make it two rounds with Nate Robbie would have tore him a new one.

You should be thanking them for bringing more excitement to the fight game than any other fighter ever has. For Conor being a fucking warrior who has more balls than your favorite fighter who ducked the entire UFC his whole career to fight inferior opponents.
You should be thanking him for having enough heart to save not just one but two huge cards by fighting another opponent on less than two weeks notice when no champions have ever had the balls to do that.
You should be thanking him for being badass enough to attempt to fight in several weight classes at once and hold multiple belts when 99% of all champs since the beginning of the UFC would have just been content to stay at the weight they were the most dominant in.
You should be thanking him for having the balls to talk mad shit and make crazy predictions about KOing his opponents without any fear of being humiliated when he eventually loses. There are many fighters who would talk smack like him but are too afraid of the consequences when they lose.
You should be thanking him for singlehandedly raising the roof for fighter pay and literally giving Chad, jose and Nate million dollar paydays that they otherwise never would have gotten.
So its good youre grateful for the "laughs" but I think you missed a few things that as a fan of MMA you really should be appreciative of.

Not necessarily. Different styles. Robbie doesn't have the same height or reach or ability to take a punch. Plus he's not as aggressive. I think Conor would do better actually. Especially now. He even said, he blew his wad in that first round.

Could you guy's imagine if it was Lawler in there, with a good 15 to 20 pounds more than Mcgregor.

That would have been ugly, very ugly.

Boohoo.

So neither Rory, condit or Hendrix were able to knock Lawler out, but his ability to take a punch would not be enough for a punch from a featherweight?

Robbie is 5'11, 74 inch reach, has a hell of a chin and hits like a fucking truck. Even worse for Conor; Robbie has good wrestling and some of the most viscous GnP in the history of MMA. Conor would be on his back and pulverized within 1 round if that's what Robbie wanted. You are delusional.

Vulture's still be scavenging I see.
There are reasonable Conor fans over the age of 14 who have valid points to make while defending him from the ridiculous attacks.
Any comments on the few things I pointed out that ax true fans of MMA we should all appreciate about Conor
I get it. Youve had to put up with crazy Conor fans making outlandish claims and it feels good to rub it in their faces. I get that.
Having said that do you have any comments to dispute anything I said in my post or are you just as guilty of being unreasonable as the Conor crazies ?

1. McGregor ducks opponents to take fights he wants. He handpicked Nate because he thought that would be his easiest fight under the circumstances.

2. Multiple fighter have wanted to move up weight classes. Either the UFC flat out said no or made the consequences not worth if (ex vacating the title).

3. Only casual fans need to be hyped in order to enjoy fighting. Real mma fans don't need McGregor like antics.

4. Conor didn't pay other fighters. Any good management team would demand a fair slice of the pie in order to save a show.

5. There has only been one show cancellation and that was Jones vs Henderson. We've heard Mayweather and Jose say it, this isn't cock fighting it's prize fighting. You don't just fight because people say fight. Not smart business. Conor did it not because he's a warrior but because if he didn't fight he'd be sacrificing millions of dollars. Good reason to fight. And believe it or not he's still not making Brock Lesnar or Ronda Rousey money.

Nobody was more brash and uncouth than Conor. NOBODY.

He behaved like a poor sport and a rude brat his entire run.

Now he's just a guy in a overly tight suit who looks at the floor when Nate Diaz walks by.

Why you defending a guy who holds himself equal to god and even thinks he can beat ''God'' who has no moral values while angrying billions of ppl with his inconsiderate comments. Conor suffers from a megalomaniac disorder anyone standing up for him should question his morality

I don't find Conor entertaining or exciting; he comes across as a narcissistic obnoxious twat to me.

Your right it's different styles but I honestly think it would be the same. It's never a for sure thing especially in MMA but I think it's the more likely outcome.

1. So I guess he hand picked Chad on 1 weeks notice huh ? he handpicked Nate because he wad the easiest fight ? Thats insane. Be objective here. Cowboy at 155 was the easiest fight by far. Taking on Nate at 170 was a way harder fight than Cowboy. Not even close.

2.Bullshit. Name them.

3.Wrong. Exciting personalities have always been a part of fighting that attracts fans. Its undeniable. He makes it fun. He gives us all something to love, hate or celebrate. Evenif you dont like him, he has made things in the UFC more exciting and other fighters are now picking up on how that helps them be more successful and are following suit.

4.Cmon man. Conor is directly responsible for Nate, jose and Mendes all getting bigger paydays than ever before. Jose was no replacement was he ? And the reason it payed so much to be the replacement for Nate and Chad was solely because of Conor hyping the fight the way he did. Conors showmanship is what paid them.

5.There has only been one big show cancellation because Conor had the balls to save the other two that were in jeapordy.
And as far as the money, well there are fighters who would forego the money due too fear of being humiliated. Not Conor.
