Hello world,

I'm planning on going to Bangkok's Sitsongpeenong gym for some serious Muay Thai training. I've never trained in MT, but have a solid boxing and kickboxing base.
My question is: how long should I stay? I've thought about anywhere between 20-40 days. I've no idea what length would be the most beneficial for me. Anyone with experience training in Thailand, feel free to share experiences, recommendations, tips, etc.

Thanks guys!

As with anything, practice makes perfect! So as long as you can, or till your money runs out...

Are you going to fight? Best way to test what you're been learning

Don't think so, although that may change. What I don't want is to get too used to the Thai style, as I am an amateur MMA fighter and want to work on my kicks without losing my boxing style (which is my bread and butter).
Also, considering I'll spend most of summer in Singapore (aftter this camp in Bangkok) with family, the world renown Evolve MMA headed by Chatri Sityodtong is headquartered there. Their Muay Thai is world class, does it make sense going to Sitsongpeenong if I can just train there?

Muay Thai camps will mostly strip you down to a Thai style...Unless they're more westernized, which is why I was recommending PTT and Tiger to you before that has MMA. If you got the money, then stick with Evolve. I hear there's a couple of ex Lumpini champs there.
