Simple question... what's your opinion on him now that the tourney is over? Who would you like to see him fight?



Does he have a shot at Dakota now?

I would prefer Jackson to fight Musaev, but Thad Jean against Musaev is a great fight.

Agreed, but this seems unlikely. The only way it happens is if they have Jean fight on a PFL Europe card as they've told us Doumbe is a PFL Europe star and they see no reason to bring him over to regular PFL events.

PFl are retard. Doumbe is a local super star, he sells tickets.

Feed him bums, make him fights seven times in 2 years, make a lot of money out of him, a win for everyone, making event in Paris, conquering the french market. Instead, they let him be inactive for a whole year.

Poor strategical directive. They lost the golden cow, Doumbe is the french MMA goat in term of marketing.

Agree they should keep him active. Not sure why they haven't been able to. I was really hoping we would get Patrice Evra's debut, too, but that card feel through and we haven't heard about any of it in a while.

I think they probably go with the hot hand and do him and Musaev but am I crazy or shouldnt these two fight for the PFL title first and then Jean gets the winner? Ramazan hasnt fought in 14 months or something and Shamil since Nov. Why isnt this fight already booked for this summer so you have a clear champ with Jean ready to fight him end of the year? Now one of them probably Ramazan gets pushed to the side despite being unbeaten Bellator champ in favor of the hot rising prospect.

Inactivity especially of unbeaten fighters like Ramazan must be monitored. I also noticed that Musaev claimed to want a bout against Ramazan. Yet, none of that happened. Is PFL going to lead it's fighters to an inactivity trap like One did for the last 4 years ? That is to be monitored closely.

Caucasians don't fight. MMA fighters in general are real inactive but people from that part of the world are just terrible. Maybe in these cases its the PFL but overall its a tragedy.

How do you know it's not Doumbe who is not accepting the fights? I'm sure PFL Europe wants him to fight. He's their most successful star.

He just made half a million after 2 years in the PFL
He should go for a second tournament win to make a million rather than going in the UFC for 25+25 or something like that. Most top fighters won't fight 3 times in 4 months. So he might face the same level of competition, if not the same competitors

true. I just hope he doesn't throw away his legacy for dependable paychecks like Johnny Eblen did.
